Does anyone have one of these eateries nearby? It's a chain that started in Guatemala and now is based in Texas, I think. Their main thing is chicken -- both fried and grilled w/ citrus, as well as empanadas and lots of interesting sides, like yucca fries. I love the place, but our only one is in West St. Paul, quite a haul for me from home. BUT! I read yesterday that they have expansion plans for like half a dozen more in the Twin Cities, and one location will be in East Phalen or Prosperity Heights (east side of St. Paul, convenient for both Marty and me).
On edit, it looks like they are only in these states:
Arkansas California District of Columbia Florida Georgia Illinois Louisiana Maryland Massachusetts Minnesota Nevada New Jersey New York North Carolina Oklahoma Rhode Island Tennessee Texas Virginia

We used to eat in what I recall was a Peruvian restaurant in the DC area where a rotisserie-type chicken was the specialty. In San Jose there was the restaurant with the "dancing chickens" (also a rotisserie setup). I believe it was Central American, but don't really recall.

I spent a couple of months in Long Beach California in '89 and remember a chain called El Pollo Loco (The Crazy Chicken).

They're going to open on in Vinton and on in Garrison. I expect the Vinton one will do great.
