Mood.
We carried you in our arms on Independence Day And now you'd throw us all aside and put us on our way Oh, what dear daughter 'neath the sun would treat a father so To wait upon him hand and foot, yet always answer no?
Tears of rage, tears of grief Why am I always the one who must be the thief? Come to me now, you know we're so alone And life is brief
It was all pointed out the way to go and scratched your name in sand Though you just thought that it was nothing more than a place for you to stand Now I want you to know that while you were watched, discovered that there was no one true That I myself really thought It was just a childish thing to do
Tears of rage, tears of grief Why am I always the one who must be the thief? Come to me now, you know we're so alone And life is brief
It was all very, very painless when you ran out to receive All that false instruction which we never could believe And now the heart is filled with gold as if it was a purse Oh, but what kind of love is this which goes from bad to worse?
Tears of rage, tears of grief Why am I always the one who must be the thief? Come to me now, you know we're so alone And life is brief

Good morning. Cloudy today, mid 70's this afternoon, possible rain showers. My hearing test at the VA yesterday went well. I should be getting a set of hearing aids from them in about a month. Strange experience, getting molding gel in my ear to get a mold for the aids. Nothing on the docket for today, tonight Claire and I will be attending the monthly Audubon Society meeting as new members. Have a great day folks.

Good morning. This morning I'll have my weekly Zoom social breakfast. Grocery shopping will follow.
It's January and the news is already full of presidential politics. I'm going to have to hone my skills at ignoring all this stuff to make it through the year.
Live long and prosper.

33 degrees with fog this morning.
This afternoon I'll get picked up by a ski friend (K) and we'll drive to Des Moines and spend the night at her daughter's. Tomorrow morning we'll be joined by a friend from Waterloo, and K, her daughter, 2 grandsons, and I will head out for a ski week at Beaver Creek. We'll drive to Ft Morgan tomorrow, overnight there and then continue on to Avon on Saturday, where we'll be staying. Another friend is flying into Avon from Mpls.
About 32 members of the East Iowa Ski Club will also be at Beaver Creek next week, but they'll be staying on the mountain, not in Avon. K arranged the Avon location as a cost saving measure so she could afford to take her daughter and 2 grandsons. Staying in Avon reduced the cost by about 50%.
Unlike my trip to Breckenridge, which was brutally cold, next week at BC is forecast to be warm.

Cloudy here and it look like it will stay that way fora while. Good time to be in the shop. I am just discovering all the things you can do with the iReal pro app. You can create exercise to use to play over when trying to learn new lines.
There is one already created that plays the circle of fourths so you can practice. 2-5-1 riffs in every key. I don’t know why I never noticed that before.

Welp, another day has come, coffee is dripping, and avocado toast is being consumed. The streets are wet, but it’s not raining at the moment. We are supposed to get a “Pineapple Express “ tomorrow. Oh, the joy. 🙄

Good morning.
32F-37F cloudy.
Nothing special happening today, a little shop time and I'll probably bake some muffins. Spoiled cats will be catered to and my StewMac order just showed up.

The power is on and the ice is gone. After work, I am looking forward to an evening of playing "Password" with the family and then babysitting the 10-month-old grandbaby for a couple of hours.

DaWife just reminded me. Zaria is using my truck so her best friend Lilly can take her driving test. Do I want to let two 16 year old girls take my beloved truck, hell no, but I also know when to choose my battles. They are well behaved girls and I like Lilly. It's also warmer and the streets are in good shape. But that doesn't mean I like letting two teens take my truck.

David, are you retiring at the end of January? Thanks for asking. The current plan is to move my office home at the end of Feb and retire at the end of July.

I had a visit with the retinal specialist at the crack of 9:00 AM. I did not need an injection, so I drove Mr. H and myself from there to Baja Cafe for breakfast. We almost decided not to go there because they were recently listed in the top 100 restaurants in the U.S. per Yelp. It's a small place and it was indeed busy, but we didn't have to wait long. I had Tucson's poutine. Companion had smoked brisket machaca huevos rancheros. He ate the whole thing. I couldn't. From there a stop at Walmart. Picked up a few needed items and we now don't have to hit the grocery store for a few days. Just finished our walk in the first sunny weather in several days. A shower and a nap are in order before whatever light dinner we want and then choir practice this evening. www.bajacafetucson.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Baja-Cafe-Broadway-Menu-July-2023.pdf

Makes sense now. It's another convoluted rambling by Dylan about who-knows-what. A lyric should convey something to the listener. Of course there can be double meanings and hidden back stories, but the lyric should portray something to the listener without having to read several paragraphs in wikipedia trying to rationalize what it might mean.

Make my order this one: RED CHILE SHORT RIB BIRRIA * $19.50 Slow roasted short rib birria folded inside corn tortillas dipped in birria au jus and flat grilled with melted Oaxacan cheese. Topped with over-medium eggs, New Mexico sauce, pico de gallo, cotija and fresh avocado. Accompanied with black bean sauce topped with cheddar jack and hash browns.
