I think we're in for six more weeks of winter, whether that groundhog sees its shadow or another groundhog.
Have a pleasant day.

Good morning. 28F-41F mostly sunny. Shop time and errands today. But first I'm making breakfast burritos.

Good morning. Sunny and cool here in Spring Hill. I've got an appointment with the ENT doc today. Things are much better after following his prescribed regimen of saline nasal spray and flonase. No more white noise tinnitus or echoing going on. Still need hearing aids which the VA will be providing later this month. Good stuff. Have a great day everyone.

What the hell is candlemas? Time to move into the 21st century John B. Visit the nitecore store and illuminate your world.
Scattered light showers, and sun today, high of 55-60 depending. Meeting some friends later at Durant vineyards for a tasting and to pick up our club selection, and probably some olive oil. They press their own, and win awards for it. Just the thing when you want something foofy to serve with crusty bread.
Drove the new Rav 4 to Freddies yesterday, all on EV mode, no gas, seemed to work great, soβ¦

Another cloudy day, peeks of sunlight predicted for the weekend.
Pleasant trip to Elderly yesterday. My Farida didn't fit the intended 00-size case, so they found a deep-body case that fits like a glove. It was more expensive, but they knocked off 10%. I played some amazing openback banjos, and some nice Martins, but wasn't tempted to open my wallet. Pandemic-era shortages are long past -- the high-end acoustic room was crammed with fine instruments.

Morning!
This January warm spell is setting records. It's lasted all the way into February, the longest January thaw ever! And it is still going!

I am interested in a "Prime" model for my next car, but they aren't available to me. And I thought everyone knew Candlemas. It's literally been hours since I first learned of it. To summarize, thus sayeth the Wiki: Time to take down the tree.

Cold and rainy here in Sucktana . Got the 80s music streaming in the office while I do some more Gumbo research.
A little millwork job just got unexpectedly hot so looks like Iβll have to work this weekend. Or as my dad liked to say I *GET* to work this weekend.

I have a stuffed groundhog in a suitcase at home. Most years he winds up in a classroom somewhere for Groundhog's Day, but today he's staying home.

Got the 80s music streaming in the office while I do some more Gumbo research. I, too, have been doing gumbo research this morning, checking out via Google Maps all the local eateries that offer it and other Cajun and Creole fare -- there's a surprisingly large number of them.

I have had a spate of court hearings lately - keeping me too busy. This might be the first time I have used the word "spate" and I have to admit that I have done it to impress you all. Is it working?
