Good morning. I hope everyone is well. I'm making breakfast for the teen and then it's back to the office. Ugh.
Michael is a good friend of ours.
Carry on and have a good one.

Good morning. It's 5:17 and all's well. I'll probably start the day with a walk in our mountain preserve. This afternoon I'll see the nephrologist to discuss my sodium level. I had it tested last week and I know it's fine so there's not much drama in store.
Have a good day.

My sisters arrive today for a one week visit. Most of the time they will be spent visiting my mother who is 99. Looking forward to seeing them again

Good morning. Rainy dreary day here. Not much out of the ordinary on the agenda, the usual routine grinds on. Have good ones.

Up early to prepare for the arrival of the plumber who will replace our bathtub fixtures. A bad week for sleeping in. The plumber will come back a second day to replace the shower fixtures. Of course the water will be turned off for both jobs. Hence the preparations. On Wednesday we have an alarm company service call, so we'll be up early again for that. The only prep for that is removing everything from the coat closet where the alarm box is.

Good morning.
24F-46F cloudy.
House chores before shop time is about all I have to do today. The girls saved me a piece of last nights spinach lasagna and they took the rest home.

Morning. Rain. Off to get some spots checked out by dermotology this am. If I’m cleared then we were planing on heading down to the desrt this Thursday, but the weather is not cooperating. So we will need to see what happens with the passes and the flooding down there.
We are selling Nita’s old Camry to her brother, who is buying it (at a very good price) for his daughter going off to college. So that’s takein care of. When we get down south I’m going to try to sell my Moms old Mercedes too. We just don’t use it enough to continue paying th insurance on it, and it needs some repairs that may cost more than it’s worth. I’m thinking one of those online deals like Carvana where they come and pickup the car and write you a check.
That’s all the news that fits.

A beautiful day ahead, up to 49 degrees. I'm still recovering from the ski trip and the long drive home. I didn't sleep well last night. I'm about ready to head to the post office to pick up my mail that they've been holding. I also need to make a grocery run sometime today.
I've decided I'm going to give away most of the stone projectile points that I've made, Arrowheads and spear points. The plan is to divide them up and put them in shadow boxes and give them to the grandkids, daughter and SIL. I've got some other things, like Pipestone pipes that I'll add. I will keep a few of my favorites point for myself and I intend to make more this summer. I believe I had an ephineny recently, on flintknapping, after knapping for 15 years, and I'm anxious to try it.

The plumber called to say he would be an hour late because he needed to pick up the parts. Are we surprised? No, we are not. I've never had a job where I could get away with saying I would be late because I hadn't planned. But that seems to be the nature of service people.

Sunny and cold. Back from a blood draw ordered by my primary care doc. Routine stuff.
Workshop time this morning whilst Dawn is out with clients. Her afternoon is an "admin day" at the desk. Being precluded from noisemaking, it will be an admin day for me too, dealing with insurance and listing stuff for sale on FB Marketplace and eBay (selling some family memorabilia that our kids don't want, and might have value to collectors)

Morning.
The record breaking January thaw continues. Looks like it will extend at least ten days into February. That is one heck of a January thaw.

Went to exercise class this am. It bothers me that this seniors chair exercise class poops me out. Start with a lighter chair. Work you way up to the heavy chair. Stick with it, and before you know it, you'll be lifting sofas.

Hot weekend millwork job in a crate which means I don’t have to make a 10 hour drive to Sidney Montana tomorrow. Got a hike in. Had to repair a stall door for the f*****g horses. Didn’t do anything stupider than normal. All in all an OK weekend.

I ordered a new steel griddle that will fit across both burners of our camp stove; it was delivered today. I looked out the front door and saw the box sitting on the porch, clearly labeled "Chef King Griddle," and next to it was sitting a big plump squirrel. I thought maybe it was a free gift for ordering, but it ran away when I opened the door.

Plumber has been here for almost 4 hours with a trainee here most of that time. They seem to be almost done. We have a fixed cost contract, so we don't care how long it takes except for the inconvenience. I'm waiting to see what happens when they turn the water back on before we decide whether we're cooking tonight.

Gray day. Work is about done.
I spent some time learning this last night - sounds great and is easy to play, except for the speed part:

Well, back from Derm. And it’s all good except for one spot that he thinks might be precancerous but he burned that bit with liquid nitrogen and it should be good to go. So that’s a relief. Now if the weather will clear up in the south we can toddle on down to some sunshine, with my bike, and I’ll be a happy camper.

Rummaging around YouTube and came across this. You don't seen a lot of women in the gypsy-jazz environment (other than as chantoozies), but this bunch can really play. And sing. One of my favorite musette waltzes, too.
