I was introduced to Smither music by Millring well over 20 years ago. I have seen him 3 times and spent about 15 minutes talking to him after one concert. This is his newest with the amazing Bettysoo singing harmony.

What a fantastic writer! And performer. Utterly unique. I mentioned a few weeks back that he'll be touring with Peter Mulvey. I mentioned it and then promptly forgot to check to see if they were coming anywhere nearby.

Just for the heck of it, here is a favorite Bettysoo.

He's one of few writers who have made me both laugh out loud and weep.

First time I took Barb to see him at the Old Town School, he ambled out on stage. Barb looked at me and said, “I don’t think I am going to like this guy.” He wasn’t 5 minutes into the concert and he had a fan for life in Barb. She talked about how wonderful the show was all the way home.

He's one of few writers who have made me both laugh out loud and weep. Love the one about his car getting stolen.

I saw him in a small venue. Then spent some time learning "Leave the Light On." Great writer and performer.
Wish I had the vocal and performance chops to do justice to "No Love Today."

I always liked Crocodile Man. He’s great. Saw him live many years ago at the Cedar.

I had to bail out an employee jailed in Thibodaux.
Clarence was a good guy but had his troubles. RIP.
