Good morning, everyone. We'll have 60s-70s, which is warmer than normal but pleasant. The daffodils in the yard have come and gone. Now the iris are blooming. Wildflowers and cacti aren't doing their thing yet but it should be a good year for them.
Not long ago I agreed to serve on what's basically the board of our church, which we call the vestry. Today it will meet for four hours. I'll have to remind myself that I agreed to do this and I'm not allowed to whine.
Have a good day.

25Β° and snow. It is supposed to be 70Β° in a couple of days. I am fairly sure today is Saturday.

Good morning. Sunny and chilly here after the front came through last night. Nothing in particular planned for today so I'll just wing it. Be well, be happy.

At the burial site for my BIL yesterday, a flock of Sandhill Cranes was lazily circling overhead. They were calling loudly in that interesting manner of theirs. I was glad they showed up.

Good morning.
16F-44F sunny.
Saturday Shop and people will be coming by to pick up work that has taken me forever to complete. It will be nice once the sun is fully up so maybe we'll find something to get us out of the house this afternoon.

A chilly morning, maybe making into the mid 40s this afternoon.
I've got a couple errands to run in Vinton today and I'll be stopping at Phil's where we will do music stuff.

Morning. Trying to get everything done so we can leave tomorrow. Everything includes edging the front yard, weeding, laundry, packing a seaparate bag for our Kauai trip in April, packing up the ebike and stuff for the desert, forwarding the mail for two months, etc etc etc. if we donβt get out tomorrow we will be stuck here for the next week as more winter storms with lower snow levels are forcast. Have I ever mentioned that Iβm not all that fond of winter? When I was a young buck, I liked winter because the surf was better and less crowded, but now that Iβm a decrepit geezer, I see no upside. Lookin forward to 70Β° in the desert

I have officially resigned from our HOA's finance committee after 4 years. It feels right. Today is Fort Lowell Day, which means nothing to people outside of Tucson. We will be wandering over to the celebration later. First we'll have whole wheat biscuits and gravy made with chorizo. Regular or "hot" pork sausage these days seems to have no spice. tucsonpresidio.com/calendar/fort-lowell-day/

Home-made chorizo. Add heat as desired with additional chiles.
2 tablespoons paprika 1/2 tablespoon ground cumin 1 tablespoon ancho chili powder 1 teaspoon dried oregano, preferably Mexican Β½ teaspoon coarse kosher salt, plus more to taste 1 pinch ground cinnamon 1 pinch ground cloves 1 pound ground pork 2 tablespoons white vinegar 2 cloves garlic, minced
In a small bowl, add paprika, ground cumin, ancho chili powder, regular chili powder, dried oregano, dried coriander, coarse kosher salt, ground cinnamon and ground cloves. Mix together to combine. In a large bowl, add ground pork, the combined chorizo seasonings, white vinegar and minced garlic. Mix everything together with your hands until well combined. Use immediately in your favorite recipe or store for later.
PS: Don't use a chile powder that already has other ingredients added. If your chile powder already has other seasonings, don't add those when you make this.

The highest, most important position was seasoning the sausage, and that was my grandfather's responsibility. When he died at 54, his eldest son Edgar inherited the position. My grandma reminded him, over and over, not too much salt, and Uncle Edgar took his job seriously. When he was finished he took a small sample of sausage, mixed in a good handful of salt, fried it up, handed it to Grandma and said, "Here, Ma. How did I do?" Knowing my Uncle Edgar, I'm not sure how long he managed to keep a straight face.

My day is nearing its end. I picked up my two sons' dogs (each has a high-energy Vizsla), and took them to the bark park with my dog. It is fun to watch fast, athletic dogs run and play. After a few laps we headed to the grocery and picked up so "soft" food for my wife who had a rough tooth extraction and bone graft.
Then I cleaned up my current home office in anticipation of bringing my office-office computers home.
Dub, my son was familiar with "mesh wi-fi" and purchased "Ptp-link deco whole home Mesh Wi-Fi 6 System" "AX3000 Deco X55 (3-pack)" for me.

Dub, my son was familiar with "mesh wi-fi" and purchased "Ptp-link deco whole home Mesh Wi-Fi 6 System" "AX3000 Deco X55 (3-pack)" for me. Looks like a good choice. Just don't let your cable modem be your WiFi base, turn that entirely over to the AX3000. Sounds like your son has you covered. www.tp-link.com/us/deco-mesh-wifi/product-family/deco-x60/Now you won't need to wire anything unless your printer doesn't use WiFi. In that case, put one of the AX3000 units and your printer in the same room and connect with Ethernet if you can, USB-3+ otherwise. Your devices will find it on the LAN.

I have Wi-Fi that I set up several years ago. Have no memory of what I used but it seem it requires no ongoing intervention.
