Good morning. We'll have a cloudy day with a 30% chance of showers. I like cloudy days because they're uncommon here. Keep calm and muddle through.

Good morning. Sunny and cool here, supposed to hit the low 70's this afternoon. Nice. Drove over to the coast yesterday to get some pics of some shore birds. Not many gulls but I did come across these guys, A great blue heron and a great egret. Great stuff....... Have a great day folks.

Good morning.
28F-59F Sunny.
I should spend the day in the shop but it will be so nice out I'll see if I can find an excuse to go out.
59 degrees, there will be people in T-shirts, shorts and sandals with socks out there.
22 Days Until Spring.

Sunny, high around 60 today and around 70 tomorrow. Crocuses blooming in the neighbors' yard. Warm temperatures this early are worrisome for the orchards and vineyards along Lake Michigan. There have been some disasterous years when trees have budded and the buds killed by a late frost.
Off the gym, thence fixing a toybox. Kids furniture made of MDF is a disaster. MDF is stable, easy to work, easy to finish --- and fragile. Do the manufacturers not expect kids to knock over chairs, jump off of toyboxes, etc?

Up, need to find some coffee. 36° out there, but we will be out of the mountains a hour after we leave, and it should get into the low 60s today. Assuming I can keep the rubber side down, tonight we will be in Coalinga.

Today is our 41st wedding anniversary and we are not celebrating. Because we went out for a very nice dinner at a French restaurant last night. Because they aren't open on Mondays, same as many other high end restaurants here. I'm doing laundry and we're waiting for the drywall guy to come by and get his first half payment so he can start work tomorrow. It promises to be a few days of disruption. Several cosmetic repairs inside the house. Replacing the ceiling in the furnace/water heater closet due to a water leak and replacing a corner of the garage ceiling that gave way due to settling. We will be moving things out of the way as needed. We'll have to turn off the furnace and water heater when he gets to that part of the job.
I've made crepe batter. We'll be preparing the crepes for dinner with turkey and broccoli. I'll make the wrappers ahead of time. Before that, I may have to drive Mr. H to a medical appointment one mile from home, as his vision hasn't been too good this week and it might be raining.
Expected high of 79 and a chance of rain. We already had rain, about 30 seconds worth at 7:00 AM.

Back in the land of the Midwest today after arriving late last night from NYC. Howard and I managed to text a little while we were still within 10 miles of each other; unfortunately schedules did not align. Once again I am enamored by the Big Apple, in large part because I am not trying to live and work there but get to drop in every once in a while to visit. I should have some pictures after a while. I took a bunch, but was mainly playing around with camera settings trying to see if I could make up for lack of talent by applying filters. We'll see.
I am feeling like crap, though; coughing, achy, headachy and a sore throat. My boss and a few others at the office sent me home when I arrived because I sounded so awful and they didn't want me to potentially infect the rest of the folks there. I'm sure it's nothing.

Shirtsleeve weather here but that’ll change tomorrow. That’s OK. Shipping two guitars to the finisher today.

It's warm here too. Which means the kids I see wearing shorts in the winter all have sweaters on today. Go figure.

Shipping two guitars to the finisher today. From those cases, I'm guessing that the finisher works on them disassembled, with the necks separate from the bodies. Certainly makes shipping easier. And are those guitars spoken for? Asking for, um, a friend.

No they aren’t Russ. One is a Birds Eye Maple/Sitka OM with Rosewood inner sides and the other Rosewood/Cedar with Maple inner sides. I was planning to hang them at Willie’s if no one was interested. There are a few tire kickers that might be.
