Yes, it's February 29.
Leap into it, all you tigers.

Good morning. Another day in Florida, sunny, mid 70's this afternoon. I've got to put a hold on our mail for our trip to Houston next month. Outside of that there's a Lightning game tonight. Not much else on the schedule. Have a great day.

I apologize for the lame first post of the day. I couldn't think of anything. So, today is different than every other day? 19° but sunny and heading up to 42°. Redwing blackbirds have come back to the pond so it must really be spring. Enjoy.

Great day for a spring training game yesterday. Nothing going today. I need to run through my setlist in preparation for next Thursday's gig. The first one in a year.

Another 80°day in the desert.
Have any of you been watching the cop show, Will Trent? Highly recommended.
Grocery shopping this am at Walmart. Then a bike ride. Maybe a nap?

Good morning.
12F-48F mostly sunny.
Temps coming back up today after yesterdays artic dip.
I plan on finishing up the Yamaha project today. Did the fret level, dress, polish yesterday. Cleaned the body and gave it a buff and installed new tuners. Today I'll make a bone nut and saddle and string it up.
First, some breakfast.
19 Days Until Spring.

Once again this forum has proven its worth. I didn't know today was leap day. Now I can tell everyone at band. For sure the drummers won't know.
Interesting deal, leap year. Every four years, they add an extra day to the earth to fix its wobble, kind of like adding a weight to one side of the rim to balance a tire. Well, actually, it's exactly like balancing a tire.
The drummers will be fascinated.

Sunny and chilly. Muddling about the house; laundry, furniture repair, and dog hair control.

Chilly yesterday, spring is back today, summer coming this weekend.
Waiting to to see what Bill, Twin Cities newspapers, have to say about last night's woman's basketball game. For these who forgot to watch the game, it ended 108-60, Iowa.

One of my former co-workers turns 13 today. Or 52, if you keep track of non-leap years. I'm not sure what day he celebrates his birthday when there's no February 29th.

Break time. Saddle made, compensated and ready for final height adjustment. Nut shaped and installed ready for string spacing marks and slotting. Scale length is 634mm or roughly 24.9" making a nice length for a small guitar. Body size is very close to a classical guitar and will fit that size case as do the Gibson B-25 and LG guitars but they were a much shorter scale length. I've left the saddle a tad high for final adjustment but also final compensation corrections. Yamaha gave the guitar a bit too much saddle position compensation on the bass side for the scale length, if it were a shorter scale I would agree with the saddle position. So by leaving the saddle a bit high I can test intonation and correct it by doing the final height from the top of the saddle by moving those points a bit.
Break over, time to finish this guitar.

Done with office building life. Comcast modem and router returned. Phone system, computer components and monitors donated to "Free Geeks." I cleaned and polished the nice wood desk and file cabinet that I am leaving behind, and vacuumed and spiffed the place up. Now it is home office life till the end of July, when I should be done.

David, it must be odd to put that behind you. When I retired, I never really had a moment of goodbye. I had colleagues and I had a case that kept me coming into the office until that tailed off and finally stopped.
