I sold my Honda CRF 300 Rally because, well, I am not agile. I am stiff and want a bike with a lower seat height. Honda now makes a Honda CRF300LS with an MSRP of $5700. The "LS" stands for "Lower Seat." It is exactly what I want but I can't find one in Oregon, Washington, or Idaho. I am not willing to travel further at the moment. Note that there are various Rally and L models around, but not the "LS."
So, here is the offer: Find me a Honda CRF300LS for $5700, deliver it to me in Beaverton, Oregon, and you can stay at our Lincoln City beach house for 7 days for free (you might have to sip a beer and play some music with me).
We would need to work out the schedule, but you are reasonable, right? The closest "LS" bike I have found is in Mandan, ND. I actually bought my Honda CRF300 Rally from that store for the then MSRP and had it shipped to me two years ago. I recently sold it - it was not the right bike for me. The seat height was just too high.
I do still have my little Yamaha XT250, so if you are into dirt bikes, we could take a little trail riding adventure when you get here.

If you decide instead on getting a new Corvette, I will deliver one from Grand Forks. But, I won't even cross the county on a bike, never mind the country. Them days (and back, knees, wrists, and butt) are long gone.

David, as you know I had to decline riding with you as it was too awkward for me to get my leg over the top of your bike. Enter the Vespa. Step through frame, twist and go no clutch, relatively light and 278 cc of power. You might keep it in your thoughts.

OK. Same offer goes for a brand-new Corvette. Is Pearl Blue ok? If so, send me a money order made out to Rydell Chevrolet for $92,899 (my haggling skills saved you 28 bucks!) I can have it out there by Easter. (oh, and a couple hundred on my end for gas and burgers would be appreciated).

David, as it’s a current model, why not just call Bob Lamphere and have them order one for you?

We can negotiate on the gas and burgers. Pearl Blue is fine.

David, as it’s a current model, why not just call Bob Lamphere and have them order one for you? Mike It doesn't work that way these days. First, dealers don't really get to order, they get what they get and have a line waiting for the bikes. Second, dealers are attaching large markups above MSRP. Third, dealers have no idea when the bikes will come in. Keep in mind that I just sold my 2021 Honda CRF300 Rally for $6,500 to a guy who made the 3-hour drive from Seattle to look at/buy it. $6,500 is the MSRP of a new, but identical, 2024 model.

Just for the hell of it, I went to Open Road Honda's site (Mandan, ND) and clicked on the "email me a quote button". They replied:
"Thank you for your inquiry. We are currently sold out of that model. Please call if you have any questions. Dusty Caldwell,Open Road Honda,701-663-4023."

I'll just throw this out there, the Royal Enfield Himalayan, has a bigger motor, Larger gas tank, you can get it in multiple colors (including camo) and the seat height is 1.2" lower.
It is heavier, but that is kinda expected when it everything is metal instead of plastic. (Oh, and it's cheaper too)

I believe it is the SCL500 that I am most interested in.

How about a Boss Hoss with a 327 V8 engine?

I'd get one of these... if my wife would let me... Just get it. Easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. Take the beating and then go ride your scooter. DaWife would LOVE one of those, I wouldn't even have to ask permission, but can't afford it.

I kinda like this Kawasaki W but Fiddlerina would never OK me on a motorcycle. I guess this one would be OK too.

A friend just bought a used 2023 Kawasaki KLX300 w/ 411 miles on it. It is "digital camo grey". He wanted a 2024, but the dealers were asking $1700 over MSRP for them!
It has adjustable main shock and forks, but the seat height is 35"+

This is sitting in my carport. It belongs to a friend whose health now keeps him from visiting us. Alas, he never bothered to register it when he bought it. I'm working on getting it registered so I can donate it to charity. It only has 13,000 miles and it's in good condition.

It is heavier, but that is kinda expected when it everything is metal instead of plastic. (Oh, and it's cheaper too) Joe, I really wanted to like those. They look great and the price is good, but they weigh 400 to 430 lbs. That extra weight is a benefit for riding on the road. But it is not a benefit when you have fallen down on a trail and need to pick your bike up. I fall down on trails. It happens to everyone who rides off-road. And it is usually in a place that is not easily accessible: a muddy, slippery spot, maybe in a muddy puddle, a creek, a steep slope, a rocky hillside, etc. Put a 400 lb bike all the way on its side and try picking it up. Then imagine being in full riding gear, maybe some extra supplies on your bike, being in the mud, and lifting your bike up as the wheels are slipping out from under it. I have even had trouble with lifting up my 300 lb. Yamaha XT250, so I just don't want the extra hundred pounds of the Royal Enfield. Plus they are not nearly as reliable as my Yamaha 250 or the Hondas that I would consider and don't have the dealer network for parts and repairs.
