It's pay day!
Don't spend it all in one place, as my old man used to tell me, when he gave me a quarter.

When we were kids, a quarter would buy a soft drink and a comic book.
Good morning from Camp Verde Arizona. Yesterday I did enough hiking that I was beat by the end of the day, but it was a pleasant fatigue. This morning I’ll do a little more of the same and then return to Phoenix. I’m taking lots of photographs of streams and trees.
Enjoy your day.

Hazy, coolish, slightly sunny.
Off to church for coffee with the old guys and minor repairs on the 117-year-old building. My specialty is reattaching shaky pews to the floor.

Good morning. Windy day here. Last day before the trip. All done but packing the suitcases. Have a great day.

Good morning.
28F-51F sunny.
Working on the Stella today. It's the last of 3 guitars I've been rotating working on. While one is clamped up I move to the next, work on it until it needs to rest and then rotate. A Giannini nylon string, the little Yamaha and the Stella. The others are done and yesterday I glued on the bridge I made for the Stella. The Stella had a tailpiece and bridge but I converted it to a pin bridge. Today I will locate and cut the saddle slot then make a nut and saddle from bone.
13 Days Until Spring.

My first gig in a year comes tomorrow. So I will run through all 3 hours of music again today to get ready. I did finally spring for a wireless system for my Fender Ear Buds. I had to buy a stupid RCA to 1/4" adaptor to connect it to my PA's monitor. But it will work well in helping to hear myself when everybody in the place is chatting away. Also, since by voice started giving out by the 3rd hour of singing, I purchased a bottle of this stuff - CLYOR Voice37, all natural voice remedy for singers.
It is suppose to last for 12-24 hours and improve vocal range and lubricate the throat. So you take the stuff a few hours before the performance. I'll let you know how it works.

Good morning, I had planned to meet with my financial advisor today, but he called and asked to move it till tomorrow. OK, guess I'll stay busy today, getting ready for a trip to Wisconsin on Friday.
It looks like the weekend will be cool, but dry, for the big St Patrick's day parade in Milwaukee on Saturday. I gotta find some green to wear. Was thinking of my kilt, but at 45-48 degrees, maybe not.

You did that end of the road trail I'm assuming?

Morning.
Me, too! I took a nice hike across a stretch of dirty snowbanks yesterday. Exhilarating! Didn't take any pictures, though. Darn it!

I’m up, coffeed and Wordle in two. Failed at connections. This am I’ll put a new door handle and lock on the front door and replace the weather stripping. Then maybe a bike ride. Dinner tonight will be early at Mario’s, so as to get thier early bird specials. Yeah, we are old people.

Paul, did you compare CLYOR Voice37 to Vocal Eze? That’s what I’ve been using. I was unaware of your choice. www.amazon.com/Vocal-EZE-Professional-Throat-Spray/dp/B000QSONSQI’ll be anxious to read your opinion of CLYOR Voice37.

You sing blues tunes! You should be gargling with rot-gut whiskey between songs!

Beautiful sunshine flooding into my home office window. It perks up my mood. Some office work this morning then babysitting the afternoon.

You sing blues tunes! You should be gargling with rot-gut whiskey between songs! The bluesmen I hung around, Big Joe Williams, Yank Rachell, Sleepy John Estes, et al., did exactly that. When the bottle was empty, they’d break off the neck to use as a slide. My friends at Chicago’s Quiet Knight told me that when Bill Monroe played there, he would suck on half a lemon before going on. Bill never mixed music and drink. On edit: Here’s a link to an interesting piece by a pro on vocal sprays. musicstrive.com/best-vocal-sprays/

Steve, what stream is that? There are a number of them in the area and they all have at least small waterfalls. The one I was on has more and bigger trees.

Quite the morning for me.
New med, Jardiance, that I took with my other morning meds before breakfast, BIG mistake.
By 9am I was feeling quite ill and laid down for a while. By 10:30 I was better but not great and decided a early lunch would probably help.
While making lunch my stomach decided it had had enough and emptied itself. I'm fine.
I ate a good lunch and am feeling almost normal now.
Lesson learned, take new med after dinner so it won't upset my stomach.

If only we had an audience I think we could work this up as the official Soundhole dance.

THIEVES! THIEVES! THIEVES!
That is the exact routine Todd worked up for the Duck Band at our Dilworth Feed and Grain show. I recall seeing a couple guys filming us that evening, but I had just assumed they were Hollywood talent scouts. NOT THIEVES!

Yes. I could have lunch! A slice of pizza was fifteen cents and a small Coke was a dime. For 50 cents you could really pig out.
