For my friend's birthday luncheon next month, we will instead dine at Evelina, a wonderful little Italian restaurant, owned by a movie-star glamorous Italian woman whose menu is the real deal and filled with great dishes. www.evelinabk.com/Is this the woman in question, Howard, or just some random hoodie model?
Yes, this certainly resembles her, but I can't find any information online confirming here as the owner—or manager. But every time I have dined there, she is in front of house. Maybe a manager? Spouse?

So sad that there is no Culver's in Brooklyn. Today's lunch was one of these pot roast sandwiches, adorned with red onion slices and mustard, and accompanied by broccoli-cheddar soup. I feel so comforted.

I feel so comforted. One might conclude you are being facetious, or have never had roast beef in Brooklyn. I had "Something Different" two Sundays ago. Brisket of beef on potato pancakes with mushroom gravy, apple sauce on the side. With an egg cream, of course.

Yeh, but my sammich/coffee/soup cost me only $14. That doesn't even cover one day of airport parking, not to mention the flight.
