On this Day:

So history could evolve and we could have this online forum. Wishing all a good day.

Good morning. General MacArthur was big on photo ops.
It'll be pleasant here today. I'll have lunch with a group of friends. I think I mentioned that I'm now on the vestry (= board) at church and this evening there's a meeting.
Enjoy your day.

II think I mentioned that I'm now on the vestry (= board) at church and this evening there's a meeting. . Even though it's a volunteer position, I hope the vests they provide you all are nice. If you ride bikes together, is it considered Vestry Rides Again?

Picked up the upside-down inverter thing from my shop this morning. Destination: bedroom. Purpose: Sciatica relief.
Headed out to visit daughter and be-dimpled grandson.
Pick up payroll.
Then on to lady from church to install microwave for her.
Then home to complete deck repair project.
Later, a meeting at church, followed by Wednesday night service.
In other words, a light day

Morning all. Best wishes for Todd and LJ. I can’t even imagine 21 days in the hospital.
Woke up too early this morning, thinking about my Mom’s car. I tend to chew on stuff. I should be able to remedy that with a nap later. Meanwhile nice day for a bike ride, and we bought a bunch of limes yesterday. Going to work on perfecting our Margarita recipe.

On Sunday I took well over a hundred photos of hummingbirds. Penstemons are among the first food sources to bloom around here. I found some clumps of penstemon at our botanical garden and just kept pressing the shutter. This is an Anna's hummingbird.

Good morning.
18F-31F sunny.
I have a nasal thing going on probably due to maple dust from sanding that Gibson G-3 neck. Runny nose and sneezing a lot. I feel fine so I don't think it anything else.
I'll get frets in the bass and the Stella today but that will be it for shop work. End trimming, level and dressing will have to wait until tomorrow.
Got to make sure Zaria has my tuck back tonight as I have labs tomorrow morning.
LJ is home being pampered and hopefully they will send Todd home soon where P & T will take turns watching over him.

We drop off Rocky tomorrow morning for his cataract surgery. We'll pick him up late afternoon and then bring him back Friday for a followup. We've been doing his drops protocol since Sunday. He's such a good boy, he doesn't mind the drops at all. That's a good sign, since he'll need to get the anti-inflammatory drops daily for the rest of his life. Rocky's pics

Cat brought in a mouse last night. Mouse got away. I got blamed.
Set traps.
So far: no mouse, one really surprised cat.
Moved trap.
Will stay the course.

Woke up too early this morning, thinking about my Mom’s car. I tend to chew on stuff. It's someone else's problem to chew on now. Don't borrow problems from whoever the new owner will be.

Office work this a.m. and baby sittin this afternoon. I have been watching dog training videos on youtube in the evenings, particularly those by Stoney Dennis. It has inspired me to train my son's dog. I hope my son likes the crap I am teaching his dog.

I found some clumps of penstemon at our botanical garden and just kept pressing the shutter. This is an Anna's hummingbird. I've put hummingbird feeders up but so far no joy. Most of the summer species are supposed to be returning this month so I'm hopeful. Went out with my Audubon friends this morning to the Chassahowitzka National Wildlife Refuge. Got these pics of a juvenal red tailed hawk, a swallow tailed kite, a bald eagle and a dragonfly. The little birds were not cooperative so we heard a lot and saw a few but they were too quick for pictures. Oh well.... Have a belated great day!

Hello, all.
I just got back yesterday from a brief vacation in the north Georgia mountains. It was a much-needed break, and I enjoyed it very much. If any of my photos look good, I'll try to post one or two.
Now I'm back in the office trying to catch up on all the problems that occurred while I was gone.

Ken, the kite is intriguing and lovely. I don't think we have those here.

We had 16 people at our neighborhood dine-out last night. All seemed to have a good time. Mr. H and I hosted and probably won't need to volunteer again for a year or so.
Tomorrow we host a lunch for our social club. That's something that we always host monthly. We normally don't go out more than once a week, but it just worked out that way.
As I continue to go through musical equipment that I haven't used for a while, I discovered that I'll need a new battery for my Carvin Stagemate. Also that I seem to have only one capo.
