Good morning. This will be my second-to-last Monday prepping for another day in the editorial dairy barn. About to prep breakfast for Her Grace so she can leave for school with something in her stomach.
Happy Birthday, Arturo Toscanini!
Italian cellist and conductor (La Scala, 1898-1908 & 1921-29; Metropolitan Opera, 1908-15; New York Philharmonic, 1926-36; NBC Symphony Orchestra, 1937-41 & 1944-54), born in Parma, Kingdom of Italy on this day in 1867.
Wishing all a good day, especially Todd and DrLJ.

Good morning. Happy birthday to Arturo Toscanini and best wishes to Todd and LJ.
Today my wife and I will have lunch with our older daughter, the one who's expecting our grandson. That'll be the high point of the day. Odds and ends will take up the rest of the day.
Peace.

Off to the dentist for a cleaning. As always, I will ask for laughing gas, and, as always, they will say no. They do let me get to pick the Beatles channel, however.
Morning!

Good morning.
32F-39F drizzle.
Snow yesterday and rain today. Not exactly as predicted but it will start snowing again early tomorrow.
We did get breakfast out and shopping done yesterday but I spent the rest of the day in bed only getting up for meals. First some breakfast and then back to bed.
All the wounded get better.

Although it's cloudy and cool, I think we'll still be making our planned trip to Mission San Xavier del Bac. If Mr. H gets out of bed sometime soon. On the way home he wants to stop at a Food City supermarket to by chiles that he hopes are actually hot. Have not had much luck with that lately.
Yesterday we finally got the strings changed on my Gibson. I can do that on my own, but his work is much neater. Our church's Palm Sunday service was nice. We managed to do a walk without getting wet, but it was quite windy.

The forecast says rain, but the sun is currently shining.
The fake leather cover, on my Martin guitar case handle is coming apart. Unglued on one end, Unglued and torn on the other.
All my superglue containers have dried up, so I guess I have an excuse to visit Theisens.

Morning all. Sun is out, wind has died down. And coffee is made. Adding Marty to the wounded list, not liking this.
We went to a little community theater in Indio yesterday, and saw Beautiful. Itβs a musical, the Carol King story. The songs were great, After the play went headed over to Flor De Jalisco for dinner only to find they are closed on Sundays. So we went across the street to Marioβs and had Sand Dabs. Enough left overs for lunch today.
Heading over to Ford this morning to ask in parts how to remove a trim piece so I can replace the cabin air filter. Ford made it a pain in the you know what to do something that should be easy. So it goes.

A drizzly 44f outside with a drizzly high of 53 forecast. I finished another James Lee Burke audiobook yesterday. Now I am ready for something with a happy, fully resolved ending.
Todd and LJ, quit lollygagging and get back here, you are missed.

Just be aware of the buckle direction, inline or side buckle. They also have snap on hook handles that work for either direction. They require a $25 minimum and may still only sell to dealers. If that is the case you can get them through All Parts.

Just be careful to get one with metal hooks that engage the rings on the case. The hooks are hidden by the leather straps so theyβre hard to see in pictures. Some replacement handles just have leather straps. When used on a guitar case these wear through very quickly.

The more expensive buckle handles are steel reinforced around the ring/post.

I bought one of these a few years ago to replace the torn handle on my Huss and Dalton TD-R case. Notice the hooked metal reinforcement inside the leather? Ain't no way this thing is going to tear off. Also available in brown.

As much as I hate to admit it I have owned two Fiats in the course of my life. My excuse is I was stationed in Italy for four years.......They were crappy cars but I did what I had to do.
