Good morning. Up early to head out to the Chinsegut Nature Preserve with the Audubon folks. Got my camera working again so I'm good to go. Have a great day.

Good morning. I ought to be making an outing like Ken's but I didn't get it together enough to prepare. I'll probably hang around and weed. 'Tis the season.
Yesterday I had a long phone call with my elderly aunt. She's directing an amateur performance of Arsenic and Old Lace. I'm glad to see her occupied and enjoying herself.
Peace.

PS: I just saw that the Diamondbacks scored sixteen runs in one inning yesterday. If they can keep that up, I like their chances this year.

Kid had the day off today. I was able to stay in bed until 7:20. What a luxury! She thinks she did well on the English part, not so sure about the math. I'd wager she did well.
Have a wonderful day, everyone, and best wishes for the upcoming holiday to those who observe.

Okee Wow-wow. - The Illini won last night. Elite Eight. UCon on Saturday.
Participated in Maundy Thursday service last night. Did Johnny Cash's Hurt. It went very well. I decided to keep it in his key. Very low part of my register. But it was appropriate to keep in low and growly. Normally I like a little vibrato in my voice. But for this one, I kept it stripped down and simple. Plaintive like Cash. It was a nice change for me. Went well.
Then we hustled off to a friend's house to watch the late Illini game.

Thanks for that. Might happen some day. No recording from last night. Would have been nice to have. It's not the kind of tune you just do in a bar. So, I don't know if I'll memorize it in performance mode. I had our piano player plunk along on the emphatic choruses. Pretty much like the JC video. Hard to reproduce the effect of a large filled room of parishioners in silence as the solemn moment unfolds. You kinda had to be there.

Ah, Friday. The best part of working.
Yesterday I learned that a 98-year-old client passed away. She had been living alone in her home. Though her nephew said that her last year had been tough, I envy her independence and fortitude for the prior 97 years.

Good afternoon.
23F-47F mostly cloudy.
Posting late so I could see how my day is going. Posting in the morning hasn't worked out well lately. So far I'm good today. Switched some meds around so things aren't working against each other. Between being sick and having meds not compatible life has been good today and bad the next.
Congrats Howard, Cheri going nuts thinking about her upcoming retirement. That last day when you turn off that computer and say ADIOS MF.

Marty I hope you continue to feel better. Tell Cheri I said not to stress too much. I had some anxiety early on, but I am feeling better and better about this decision every day.

If I hadn't just seen this on my route, I would hardly have believed it. This seems to be my year for eagle sightings. Today I caught sight of a pair not very far off and not all that high in altitude. And just as I was thinking "how beautiful to see two of them in the same field of vision" ...they locked talons and spiraled downward together a few hundred feet. Probably the most remarkable bird sighting I've ever witnessed. My lucky day.
day.
