I've seen pictures of Wes. He seemed blacker.

I've seen pictures of Wes. He seemed blacker. He's also gotten cuter. Quite a trick for a dead man.

Wes was the best. In many ways the Oscar Peterson of the guitar.
Her, meh. But love the thumb-flesh sound.

The brushed snare drum is a bit annoying at first.

A 17 year-old playing this stuff so well is impressive to me and will no doubt continue to improve.
Reminds me of the great Emily Remler who said "I may look like a nice Jewish girl from New Jersey, but inside I'm a 50-year-old, heavy-set black man with a big thumb, like Wes Montgomery."

That's really nice. Looks like she is playing all downstrokes. I read somewhere that Wes had built up such a big callous on his thumb he could pick up with it.
She should loop a comping track after the chord melody and then play single string over that.
