Good morning.
I missed this yesterday, but April 3 is the anniversary of the launch of the Pony Express, founded in 1860. I have always liked this recruiting poster: "Orphans preferred"
Making breakfast, then—a morning nap! I am starting to like being retired.
Wishing all a good day.

I once saw a coffee mug that said: "I don't want to. I don't have to. You can't make me. I'm retired."
Good morning, folks. Today I'll have my Zoom social breakfast, then buy groceries, then have lunch with a friend, then sort out some scheduling issues by phone, then make dinner. I won't have time to get bored.
Plod on.

Good morning. 32F-50F mostly sunny. Ended up just getting shop work done yesterday and making my bank account happy. I think that was the last client job I have for a while so I'll get on with some of my guitars. First thing today is some minor *grocery shopping and getting the Spoiled Kitty brand of cat food. Plus a lottery ticket as it's up to a zillion $ and DaWife wants in on it. I'm more likely to be trampled by a herd of rampant armadillos. Zaria bought a car yesterday meaning she won't be borrowing my truck anymore. Maybe if they move and need to pull a trailer. Everybody stay well. *I know I keep saying that but today it will happen.

Nice weather today with highs in the 80’s Rocky is recovering nicely and is seeing very well. He’s off all the stomach drugs as that issue seems to have resolved itself, but he’s on some new antibiotics just in case. Nothing going on today otherwise. Wordle 1,020 3/6

Beautiful Spring day. March was a bit of a disappointment, but, so far, April has come through in spades! My guess is there will be some field work started any day now. This looks to be an early start, and early is good!

Dreary day. I am counting the days until this cast is gone. It’s still too many for my liking but getting better. Who said time flies? Enjoy whatever day this is.

Good morning, all.
A nasty stomach virus is storming through campus these days. Better than flu and COVID, though.
In general, all is well at the Cason household.

It’s morning and the sun is out. Nita’s folks arrived yesterday and are ensconced at chez Wonders South. We are leaving on Sat for Kauai from San Diego and they will take us to to the airport, then house sit until we get back.
This morning it’s breakfast at Sherman’s, per Nita’s Dads request, then dinner at Pueblo Veijo for their Thursday fajita special. Bike ride and pinocchle in between.

I'ts a sunny say. It looks great, but it's a cool one. More rain this afternoon. Like LJ, it's time to be healed. But I know patience is key.

I'ts a sunny say. It looks great, but it's a cool one. More rain this afternoon. Like LJ, it's time to be healed. But I know patience is key. My Doc told me to do what I felt like doing. Tired, take a nap, restless, take a short walk. I don't think a trip to the coffee shop or grocery store is too stressful. But everything within reason, don't try to push your limits. You'll get there with time.

"Patience is key...."
Those words made me think of a song I always liked, mainly because of the terrific harmonica part.

Good morning, I was up and out of the house early this morning to get lab work done for an upcoming appointment. I get my labs done at the hospital in Vinton, no waiting this morning, 10 minutes from walking in to walking out.
Of course I needed sustenance after fasting, so I paid the Family Restaurant a visit. Then Theisens for ant traps, and Fareway for a few things. Oh, I stopped at the courthouse and got my lifetime fishing license with trout stamp. Now I need to go fishing.

I think $25 per week must have been very high wages at that time. Unfortunately for the career minded, the job only lasted a few months.
