Good morning. I have been awake for hours... after I serve breakfast, we could see a return to the bedstead. Coffee later.
Wishing everyone a good day. Keep healing, Todd and drlj.

I have been up for hours as well. Been to the gym and now I am headed to Lifestriders (horse therapy ranch). I always go an hour or two before we begin the therapy sessions with the kids to allow me time to spend grooming and saddling (and hugging) the horses . I enjoy it all.
Hubby is volunteering with the USO today.
Have a wonderful day, everyone.

It's 5:00 AM here and all's well. A weather front will bring wind and lower temperatures this afternoon.
No news to report. Enjoy your day.

Sierra Ferrell and John C. Reilly singing two of my favorite honky-tonk songs, from a couple of nights ago. I'm really digging Sierra Ferrell's new album, and I'd love to see her in concert sometime. For those of you who don't know, John C. Reilly is an actor who moonlights as a singer. He occasionally tours small clubs.

With what do you stuff those peppers, Bob? Ground beef? Rice?
My beef bourguignon came out pretty well last night, although a bit late, so it will be served this evening. Won't this have given it time for the flavors to really set in?
For my wife, it might need a bit more salt.

Yogurt consumed, pills taken and soon I will head out to get new tires on Blue Beauty. Most people would regard that as a chore, but I've been looking forward to it all week, knowing the sweet old gal will joyfully dance and sing in her new black pumps. Two-lane Sconnie blacktop beckons tomorrow as I head east for a belated Easter celebration at seester's place -- I'm bringing a box of wine and about $100 worth of Old Southern BBQ ribs and cornbread muffin tops. Everyone will be especially nice to me.

Good morning, all.
Clinic looms in a few minutes. Among the other pleasantries of the day, I get to inform yet another student that the rash he acquired over Spring Break cultured positive for herpes. Talk about the wrong Spring Break souvenir.

Sunshine is welcome.
Daughters car broken down in our driveway is unwelcome. She stopped by on her way home from work (at 11:30 PM), the vehicle stalled, and won't restart. Appears to be cranking but not firing. She now has my van and Dawn's vehicle is blocked in by the disabled vehicle. Will probably need to get it towed. There are better ways to spend a sunny Friday.

I brown off 1 pound 80% ground beef, drain. Add 1 cup cooked rice, 1/2 cup chopped onions, garlic powder, salt, pepper and blanch peppers a few minutes in boiling water. By blanching them you cut down cooking time , dry them and add mixture. Tomato sauce, spoon sauce over top of peppers cover pan and put in oven at 350 or simmer in top of the stove covered. When done some strips of cheese on top. Whole thing takes 55 minutes start to finish. There are a lot of different ways to make Stuffed Peppers. I use peppers with 4 bumps on the bottom. That way they stand up. They are better the next day.

I don't mind if people add salt and pepper to food I cook. But taste if first before you do that. The worst thing I see in restaurants I've worked in is putting Ketchup on prime rib or Filet Mignon. When growing up my Mother would use Ketchup in cooking but would not set a bottle on the table to use.

Good morning.
29F-56F sunny.
Bill, I too have been looking at new tires, BF Goodrich Wranglers. Not overly expensive but good all weather and not too noisy on the highway. Bill likes very quiet Touring tires with good road grip for playing zoom zoom on the backroads.
Homemade Beef-a-roni and salad last night, one of DaWife's favorites. I could take that girl to Pierie' La Snoots and if they had Tuna Mac on the menu that girl would order it, unless there was lobster then it's no contest.
A quick shower and then down to the shop.

Most likely yes. Many dishes are better when reheated the next day. Like Todd's beans and rice dishes.

But Todd tries to eat that for 4 or 5 days. By that time I feed that to my cats.

A nice, sunny morning, I'll be leaving late morning for Wis. We'll be celebrating our late Easter this weekend at my daughter's.
I do plan to stop on my way to Wisconsin, at friend's farm, to pick up some fresh Black Angus beef. I just wanted hamburger, but they said if I stopped for hamburger, they would give me a bunch of steaks, seems they have too many. You can't beat friends like that.

Holy shite!
We just had a mild earthquake in Brooklyn 10 minutes ago! No kidding. It was weird and somewhat disturbing.
The news says it was magnitude 4.7.

Saw news about the earthquake, but very little news.
Here we will just have dust. Expected gusts of 40 mph. I'm already sneezing and it hasn't even started yet. Rain possible tonight. It might be raining mud for a while.

It was centered in Lebanon, NJ and the ground shook all along the coast from NY to Boston. We have had them here and it is a weird experience.

Great minds Factory Chef. We are having stuffed peppers tonight too.
Today, laundry and packing for Hawaii. Cooler day here, only 65°.
