My neighbor just got a Rivian. The truck version Looks cool. All electric, so I read about. Only problem is there isn't enough room in their garage. You see, it's a 3 car garage and there's already a Jeep, a Volvo SUV, and a Porsche in there, along with 2 motorcycles; a Harley Fat Boy and a new fancy BMW. It boggles my mind. They are a very nice couple in their 40s with 2 jr high aged kids and 2 dogs. They're from Denmark. Literally. He does something in the pharmaceutical business. I'm thinking he reps for some overseas manufacturers. There's a Tesla a couple doors down. A handful of Lexuses and Beamers down the block. I'm still driving my 10 YO Civic. It boggles my mind what people spend these days. I don't know how they do it. I think the world has passed me by.

Maybe if you diverted part of your guitar pickup budget to vehicles you could keep up with the neighbors.😉

I wouldn’t give that guy a loan. I am astonished at the maritime fleet many of the folks on our lake have. A hundred grand plus flotilla that can only be used four months out of the year.

I tried to think of something clever to say but my brain has apparently passed me by.

I have previously mentioned here that I follow a series on YouTube called, "Itchy Boots." It is a self-created series by a woman who videotapes her solo ride on her little motorcycle worldwide. Last year she traveled from the south part of South America to Alaska. She is currently in northern Africa.
It is a great view of real-time (well, perhaps a week delay) life worldwide. Prior to watching this series, I had the naive vision that almost everyone in the world now had electricity, a motor vehicle, and access to national and even international news.
She admittedly tries to avoid large urban areas, but in huge swaths of land, there are so many folks who travel and move produce by wooden wheeled ox carts, burrows, and rickshaws. Daily meals are routinely prepared over wood fires. Her little Honda 300cc motorcycle is otherworldly in many locations and in most areas considered a big motorcycle.
The differences in lifestyles and material possessions worldwide does not grock.
