Good morning. Going up to 80° here today! Yow. Puttering, chores, and birthday lunch for a retired friend on the agenda today. I won't get political, but I just heard some discouraging news about the future solvency of Social Security and Medicare.
Yesterday was Holocaust Remembrance Day.
Here are my parents, who survived multiple labor and death camps, on a date in 1950, five years after the war ended and two years before they married.
Never forget.
Have good days.

Good morning. I was going to get up early and head out to the Weeki Wachi prairie lake this morning for some exploring and birding but when I awoke, I decided to make today a rest and recovery day. Been pushing myself pretty hard lately, lost ten more pounds, but I'm starting to break down so it's time to use some common sense. At least until tomorrow. Delayed wedding anniversary dinner tonight with Claire.
Have a great day.

Good morning.
55F-70F rain now and cloudy later.
I finally got around to putting on the new blade for my bandsaw only to find I'd ordered the wrong size. I've been changing blades on that thing for 30 some years how the hell did I order the wrong size. So today I will make a trip to Rockler and get the right blade. Just might stop by McD's on the way home and get some lunch for DaWife as she likes a Big Mac and 10 pc Nuggets for lunch. I can tolerate a burger from there every once in a while but it ain't Culver's by a long shot.

Morning.
Slow drizzle, which is always welcome... well, nearly always. Not welcome when hay is cut or barley is lying in the swath. But, right now, very welcome. So far, an ideal spring moisture deal. A series to light, steady rains in the last couple weeks totaling 2.35". Perfect!
The Second Wind Band is on the road today with a concert in Hatton, ND.

Pleasant weather today. The home owners assoc. is recoating the roads in our subdivision over the next week. They do our street tomorrow and we can't drive on it for 36 hours. So we'll run our errands today so we can hunker down for a couple days. Of course that day is also Linda's birthday. We usually go out to dinner, but that'll have to wait until the weekend. But I already have her presents in the house, so we can still celebrate at home.

Man, it looks like the Emerald Isle out there this morning after the overnight rain. It was nice hearing thunder off in the distance as I bedded down last night -- no trauma, just agua. Today I'm recalling a gorgeous day seven years ago when Lonnie left this mortal coil, comfortably lying on his favorite red couch, his beloved Patti by his side, stroking his hair, me standing behind her, just drinking it all in. A longtime musician friend who is also an ordained minister stopped by just in time and said beautiful, soothing words to Lonnie, and to us. Skillions of people (no exaggeration!) miss him so. If you are so moved, wander around this wonderful place that Patti created: lonnieknight.com/Or just type "Lonnie Knight" into a YouTube window and see what pops up. Have a fine day, tribe.

Good morning, all. Cloudy this morning, but it will clear up a bit later (if the forecast is correct). Getting warm down in these parts. Good morning. Partly sunny, thunderstorms predicted.
Already been to the gym for a workout, if you can call 40 minutes of light lifting on the weight machines a workout. My aging joints appreciate it.
Dragging this morning, maybe residual tiredness from a Sunday bike ride. Think I will follow Ken's example.

We had a line of thunder storms pass through around 4:00 this morning, some rain but not a lot.
BLT for breakfast. I picked asparagus this morning and checked the new battery in my zero turn, it's fully charged.
Music practice starts at 11:30, still time for a little more coffee

Jan: I think the graphic is supposed to have been "folk" dancers. Polka is 100% acceptable.

Good morning. Wi-Fi is out for those served by Cox. There’s widespread panic. Or maybe not.
I am also in Ken‘s camp. These days it can take a couple of days to recover from overdoing it and I’m always inclined to overdo it.
Enjoy your day

I think I will spend the day not overdoing it so I won't need to recover. Seems like an efficient use of my time.

Barb went to the drugstore and was buying graduation cards for relatives. She said there was a stack of these going for $5.99 each. What’s wrong with this picture?

I had a good day, but unfortunately, one of my friends died so it’s a bummer. Also, my son did something good so that was good. I didn’t do very much but I’m still alive
