I spoke with Scott again last night. Things are much better: he has heat and electric now, and he was going to start cleaning up debris at the house today. The cable people tell him it may be a week to 10 days before he has internet connectivity again, which is a major bummer for him, due to his business.
He asked me to thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers.

He lives around Buffalo, NY. They had an unseasonal early fall snowstorm. They got about two feet of wet snow that collected on trees that had not yet shed their leaves resulting in many of the trees falling or losing limbs that cut power lines throughout the area. There are areas still without power. The same thing happened in Omaha when I lived there ten years ago. We were lucky, living in an area with underground power cables.

Thanks Ken. i`m glad he`s OK. How long has Scott been without power? What a bummer. I tell ya the weather is freaky all over the world this year. Talk about extremes.

Thanks for the update, Dan. Those early storms can be brutal. Glad things are getting back to normal.

He must have really gotten hammered badly or at least not gotten his services back quickly. My boss had his electric back by Monday morning, he does have undergroupd wiring so maybe that helped to some degree.
