I think this is a year 2000 model made in the old Lowden/current Avalon factory – cedar top, mahogany body with a clear pickguard. An understated guitar in terms of appointments but then I’ve always liked guitars with minimal appointments. The only non-standard feature on the guitar is the addition of a strap button on the treble side neck heel.
It has been my main guitar for the past 6-7 years and is in very good shape. There is one very small ding on the top on the bass side on the lower bout due to my carelessness – the end of the guitar cord slipped out of my hand and glanced off the surface for the guitar while it was on the stand. There are minor scratch marks that are visible only upon close inspection around the soundhole where I’ve had a Baggs M1 pickup installed. There are also two or three very small dings in the body binding of the guitar. I’ve recently had the frets dressed and it is set up for medium to low action. I will attempt to take pictures of these defects.
Sale price is $1600 plus shipping and insurance. If interested, please drop me an e-mail with “Lowden” in the subject.
Thanks! Chak

Chak I know that this guitar has been a part of you for a long time, Chak, and I hope you are parting under amicable circumstances.

I am sadly selling because I am finding the body depth coupled with the size of the lower bout to be increasingly uncomfortable. I think it has more to do with the depth which is greater than 4-1/2 inches. I tried switching positions (right leg, left leg, standing/sitting with strap, etc.) and while some positions are better than others, I think it's best that we part ways. Ergo is increasingly more important to me now.
Hopefully it will find a good home soon.

There's a beautiful statement in a Lowden's beautiful understatement. As an O10 and F32 owner I'd still be interested if I wasn't about to squander silly money on a frivolous adventure.

I'm sorry it took awhile to post pictures. My photography skills are meager but here they are. Please feel free to ask any questions. good-times.webshots.com/album/559532393esxhdQNow that I've had a chance to document the dings a little bit better, I've decided to lower the price to $1500 plus shipping and insurance to better reflect the condition of the guitar. Note that these are cosmetic dings only and in no way affect the tone or playability of the guitar. Thanks. Chak
