Until the polls close on the Registration issue, I am implementing required registration due to numerous anonymous (except for the IP address that has told on them) posts, we will implement this rule. If the results of the poll indicate the majority rules in favor of not requiring registration, then I will disable it again.
Thanks for understanding, and feel free to cast your vote in the Voting Booth.

An apology... J alerted me he couldn't browse the forum from the library without signing in. Apparently, I enabled a "registration required" button that forced signing in to even access the forum. So, I have since disabled that feature, and required you to be signed in to post new threads or reply to threads, which will still allow lurkers to check out the forum, read posts, and browse the site. I think that's more in line with what we wanted. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks to Mr. Fiore for alerting me to it! That is all, carry on.

thanks for addressing that Cribbs. I think it makes the forum sort of uninviting if lurkers can't even lurk

Brother, I totally agree. If the forum of old didn't allow it, I never would have joined however many years ago that was. I found it through Google, and read, and was compelled to join the nuthouse.
I think that's important. We have a unique melting pot of people and societies, and a whole helluva lot to offer.
