I think it would be good to have a forum about actual recording projects; completed and in progress. Many of us have done it; are doing it; or plan to do it. It could be a good place to highlight finished projects as well as those in the works.
Sort of a Behind the Scenes thing. . . , like watching Frankenstein being born.

You mean where people can post during their projects so people can stay up to date on things as it develops?

It could be; planning; during; and/or after.
It takes a while to do one of these things. (If you do it that way I have been doing, it takes years). Or you can do it like aj and hire a studio for a few days. There's different approaches.
I'm thinking of a place to discuss past present and future projects. Many forumites have multiple finished projects. (Cornflake, Bill, AJ, others). Loopy just finished an 18 track disk. I'm pretty close.
Not so much: how to, but more; what's happening. Who's done what.

An excellent idea! So good, in fact, that I used it for my CD at my extremely quiet place: dave-keir.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=5 ;D But I'd be happy to support it hear. Next project is starting soon. Cheers!

I chronicled the recording of my CD Giving Voice on another discussion board (see link below)== apparently you need to register in order to read it but here it is for what it's worth to all. It's a four page recital of the steps, thoughts, processes and leaning moments that I experienced. I think that a lack of understanding makes the recording process more complicated than it needs to be and I think aside from live performance, recorded performance is the best tool for self-improvement as a player. Everyone should use recording as a teaching/learning tool. www.acousticplayermagazine.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=6966

I gotcha Marshall. When I get home this evening and get done with a setup and sound check (testing some new speakers) then I will sit down at the board and get it added.
Gooooooooooooood idea!
