I posted a colour version of this one the other day but I like this better.

I love it. The sky is perfect.
Not a critique but a question: what about cropping it about midway up the prominent black rock at the bottom?

Possibly - does the proportion of the whole look awkward to you?

Maybe a bit. Try it and see what you think. I love it as is, though.

Now I can't see the whole thing on the screen, so I don't know.

take my word for it - the photo needs all the pattern on the dark rock.

Yeah. I think the black rock is a nice anchor. And I like the detail of the submerged rock next to it.
The aspect ratio of the original photo is a little uncommon. But i think that adds to it's interest in this case.

Marshall, if you are back in Ontario again you have to come up here and we'll go up the peninsula. I think you'd love it.

Oh, I'm sure I'd love it.
Sadly, that project that took me up to Cambridge got canceled. So, I don't see an easy way back soon.

Sekh, what aspect ratio are you using? Is it 16x9, or some other format? Is it created by cropping, or is it a setting on your camera?

John, it's a 35mm. I don't think God made the 35 x 24 ratio, so I crop as I see fit.

My wife takes the same tack. I, however, must force things into boxes.
