Well, I got 30 miles down the road, unfortunately my clutch only made it 10. Nursed it back home, but not gonna make it to Orchard Jam after all. This is the 4th clutch that's been in this truck and it's only got 90,000 miles on it (the truck, the clutch only has about 7,000 miles) I'm beginning to think there's something wrong with this beast. Oh well, now I get to mow more of the yard - wooo hooo!!

I feel your pain -- cars suck the life out of us sometimes.
If your truck has gone through four clutches in 90,000 miles, there is only one explanation -- your truck is demon-possessed!

Having a bad clutch is what taught me that Iowa isn't flat. I tried to make it 70 miles to my brother's once to get a clutch fixed, and only made it 50.
Too bad you couldn't make it, Dennis. I've been to one OJ, and it's a whale of a time.

4 Clutches in 90,000 miles. YIKES. If the first one lasted a normal life and the next 3 died quickly then something is not aligned properly or something like a spacer has been left out or not left out. A friend had an old Bronco that went through clutches every 4-5 months. Turned out the first replacement left out a spacer so it and the next 3 only lasted 5-6000 miles.

I was looking forward to bringing the guitar you built so you could hear how wonderfully it has aged in the past two and a half years.
I finally got a Baggs iBeam installed in it, too. Sounds great plugged in now, although I'm always still tempted to mike it because it has such an amazing sound.
Good luck with the clutch.
