There are no pictures here I'm wild about but the places are so good they're worth seeing. Here's another from West Fork, the place I mentioned being hard to photograph in another thread. Another wonderful place called Red Mountain. A photo from about 9,000 feet. Predictable but pretty. Still another photo from West Fork. And Lake Mary.

Have you noticed that at what I'd maybe call the visual center of the last shot (actually just below center, at the end where the water disappears), an area a little bigger than a quarter seems to go abstract, with lines kind of radiating from the center?
Nature's kaleidoscope.

Yeah, I did notice that, jdd, and it's the best thing about the shot.

I am blind. I'm not sure where I'm supposed to be looking. Is it possible to post another version of the pic, with the special place circled or otherwise indicated? I'm usually really good with visual illusions. By the way, Don, is that second picture taken from 9,000 feet, or at 9,000 feet? If the former, I'm seriously impressed with your new zoom lens

It's actually the second to last shot...

I screwed things up by adding another shot after jdd had commented about what had been the last one. We were discussing what's now next to last. Almost directly under the tree in the center is the star-like reflection effect.
