Just watched the Violent Femmes perform their song "American Music" on CBS this morning with following line up: lead singer on banjo, big guitar style bass, some strange sax in the background and for percussion....a Weber Grill. "Unplugged and Unhinged" Which makes me wonder if their are any remaining permutations of music that haven't been covered so far in our lifetimes. A fine way to wake up.

Phew! is right! Dittoes to Don's msg. I'm sorry to hear about this complication you experienced. And I''m thanking my lucky stars that I haven't had that. Lord knows it's hard enough to eat at all, without throwing an ulcer into the mix. I can't afford to lose any more weight.
Best wishes and a speedy recovery.

wow. That was a trip into the past. My first bike was the 305 Superhawk and after that I moved up to the CB550 4K. And I read the book. Nice to see that someone restored the old Persig Superhawk.

Wow. That sounds like a healthy smorgasbord.
Gotta cast a vote for Thompson on this recording. He writes from a distinctive point of view. Like most English brews, you gotta acquire a taste for it. Listen to "Down Where The Drunkards Roll." I mean...amen.

HA! Dub! I saw this on Broadway with the original cast. Most of those guys went on to lengthy careers. Well, obviously, Dudley Moore.
The show started out in an English college where these dubious Thespians weren't getting enough work through their program or weren't doing what they want to do. So they decided to organize their own 'clandestine,' theater, since they weren't allowed to do this "On Campus." So they found space very neatly "just" across the street from campus grounds, thus naming it Beyond The Fringe. It became an immediate hit with the campus students and just kept getting more and more options with the show, ended up in the West End in London and subsequently to Broadway.
Put four madcap English comedians on a stage and I guarantee you'll have a hard time being bored. They were funny.

Sheesh! This one sure took off. I didn't read all of it... double sheesh! You guys and your reading assignments... I'ma about several years shy of getting a graduate degree here. That said:
I'm just sitting here on my benign tuft, keepin' my mouth shut, and 'waitin' and 'watching.' paying close attention to the proceedings and keeping a weather eye out. And.....ah.....Well, in the interest of full disclosure, I confess I'm biased but I plead my case for taking a 'wait and see perspective.' Like...I'll try to remain neutral for the first 100 days... but man....man... This looking like a movie I seen before somewhere. It was called "Bull Meet China Shop/China shop Meet Bull"
I predict that one of these daze...Mr Bull is gonna horn a 20K antique crystal vase across the floor and shatter it into smithereens, a ruthless pile of phoney diamonds made of sparkling glass.
Ooooooseedaisy! Impeachment, regarding any sniff of subterfugic nefarious gain. But doubtful..more like Censure and Vote of No Confidence...
But then...There's the Pence Suspence...
Ho boy!!
Frying Pan meet Fire...Pan meet Frying Pan...
"Feet don't fail me now..."

Christie might look good as Falstaff to Central Casting. But the man ain't got no sense of humor. Falstaff, love 'im or hate 'im, was at least fascinating, for his sense of humor.

OOO....boy! I envy you that sound system. And I remember those KLH stereos.
And hand in hand with your advice should be "don't move very often." As an old residential gypsy of many travels, a lot of flotsam got cast upon the wayside.
