(godot comes grunting and groaning pulling two engorged plastic bags down the driveway..) Well.. might as well haul this year out to the curb.....peeyooooooo! (he wafts at his nose.. and deposits the bags.. But you know... like the man in the movie said... "I got a real bad feelin'...'bout this next one..." No grim tidings intended. Raise a toast...Be at Peace...

Well. "supposedly" got my cable connection "fixed" But just be maybe because it's a little over 40 degrees. So I want to wish everyone a everyone here a very Happy Holiday while the internet connection still works. My best wishes to you and a your families.
Having a very good day here. Another day in paradise and give praise to the Lord for still being here. Beyond that I'll pass no remarks. Actually played a little last night. Am grateful for my ax. It holds its tuning pretty good.

I have Xfinity and the "On Line" goes off promptly at 40 degrees. So I only have internet on warm nights and mornings. Once the sun comes out, the light and connectivity resume. With the winter upon us, I'm contemplating switching service.
ps: Father Bill see pm.

You know...as an eastern seaboarder...I gotta say I get a kick out of hearing your restroom reviews. Maybe they could all be collected in a listing in a book. "Restrooms I have known."

The tenor takes a deep breath and arches his back:
"Look at those teeth ..just look at them... Look at that ugly ole face of yours... You've got a face like Dracula and I mean that in the kindest way...!"
Thunderous applause from the audience.

I had a dog that used to chase squirrels endlessly. She said she was prepared to 'rip them to pieces' when she finally caught one. Well, as it happened, she never did catch one, but at least she kept them up in their goddamn trees where they belong.

Now Melania....that one remains to be seen...she'll probably want to redecorate so stick all these wooden antiques up in storage someplace and bring on the glass topped tables with chrome underpinnings...now then..."do we really need all these ghoulish portraits around here...?"

Don't know how many circulate around here anymore, but I'll toss one out to you. "Born To Run" by Bruce Springsteen. His autobiography, just published. I wouldn't place it in the tier of 'literature' per se, but he's a pretty good writer.
I never was a real fan of his from the first listen in the early '70s,' it just all sounded like too many syllables to listen to. Must have been one of his first two albums. I remember listening in some store shopping for jeans or something, as I recall.
But his book is pretty forthright and sounds genuinely truthful, without being in any way self congratulatory, as one determined son of bitch. So, having lived at least for a couple of years in North Jersey, a lot of the culture he describes of that New Jersey scene of Asbury Park scene rings true to me.
Good read.
