How did we get to the end of this month so quickly?
Heading down the dark highway this morning to see the oncologist in London.
Hope everyone is weathering the economic storm.

Safe travels and good wishes, sekh!
Cool and clear morning here on the Great American Prairie. The sky is full of stars and the air is crisp and still.
Dental adventures await me today. I'm off work as it will take a good chunk of the day to get everything worked out.
Have a great day. y'all!
Tom

Howdy, Gang -- Dark and chilly out there this morning.
I hope your trip goes well, Kate.
Oh, and Bob, are you aware that avatar-wise, you have lost your identity? You are just a shell of your former Winwoodian self!

Yes, Bob's avi is a nice blue ?-mark, nicely labeled as "avatar". Gee, how do I do that.
Low temps finally into the 50s (upper teens for normal metric folks). Nice sleeping.
Even tho I've only been working on a fence, I feel like that greek guy always rolling sections of it up a hill.

Morning everyone. Waking up to such uncertain times...
I'll be thinking of you Kate. Your highway certainly is a darker one than mine today. Sort of reminds me of that adage that says something like "I complained because I had no shoes until I saw a man who had no feet". Hope all goes well. You are right, this month went by very quickly.
At this posting, Bob's avatar is waving freely!
Off to work and an early morning meeting.

Bob's avatar is back to being a Yankee's flag. Closest they'll get to a pennant this year, eh?
So I heard that the 777 points the stock market lost yesterday represents more in value than 700 billion. I don't even want to know how much my 401K or my kids' mutual funds (which were worth about 1 year of college and now probably one semester) lost.

If the economy tanks any more, we'll all be living out back in Kate & Lars shed.
Doesn't sound so bad, does it ?

Interesting that the stock market lost the amount of the bailout plan, eh? Specially since the greed of "Wall Street mentality" is partially the cause of the financial failures. Marshall sez, "If the economy tanks any more, we'll all be living out back in Kate & Lars shed." I have a shed on one of my properties that is 8'x12'. It's pretty much falling down, but I plan on rebuilding it a scad larger as a 2 story self contained structure, the 1st floor to be primarily underground (it's on a slope). I'll use it as a B&B type rental for a while, and may reserve it for our own use in a few years. I'm considering building it off site, then lowering it in place with a crane. However I do it, it should be a fun project. Something like this, which is 10'x16', with a bedroom upstairs.

And in one day, no less. Since last October, it's like 3700 points on the Dow. So is that like 4 trillion?

Good morning. An almost perfect day in the Metroplex--62--84. Only thing to make it better is some needed rain.
I don't know about yours but my retirement accounts got hit good yesterday. I may be one of those moving up to sekh's backyard. Kate I'll take Morgan for her morning walks. I guess I'm going to stick my head in the sand 'cause I don't know what I can do about it anyway. I can vote though I'm at a complete loss at this time on who for. I do know that I'm going to pay a lot closer attention to the lower races, not just the President. My mood now is that we have been sold out by all of them.
I'm going to start working on my photo skills as I'm not happy with the pics I took on my trip to Fayetteville. I just put no thought into them at all. What a wasted opportunity.
I set my metro at 128 for my tremolo workout this morning and I was able to stay with it for the most part. That's the best I've been able to do for any sustained period.
Have a good one.

G'mornin' friends! Safe travels and good health to you, sekh. Sunny and cool here. Today's agenda...... laundry, the gym, and work. If you woke up and turned your radio on 37 years ago you might have heard this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_6E6Eul9Fc&feature=related

Good morning all. A beautiful day on the left coast again. Fall just seems to be getting farther away.
Went to a pilates class with my wife for the first time last night. Ouch.

thought I'd check in while it's still morning.
How long is it going to take Hammond to hit 10k? will he do it today? tomorrow? or will he change his id and start all over? Enquiring minds want to know.
(yes the spelling is wrong on purpose)
