I've just recently accepted a position with RBS WorldPay, the credit/debit card processing arm of The Royal Bank of Scotland. If any of you accept plastic in your daily business endeavors, I would appreciate a chance to earn your business. Send me an email and we can communicate directly. If this is deemed inappropriate, please erase the thread, moderator(s) and I apologize in advance. Or I could buy everyone a capo.

Not sure what the actual board policy is.....
I know we all don't care for the spammers that show up occasionally but there are a lot of us that have purchased items from other forumites. Guitars, CDs, Stringwinders, millring's pottery, etc.
Maybe there is someone here that can use what you have.....either way, I hope you do well with it.

It must be a strange and disquieting thing to start a new job in the credit biz these days. Hope the shit-storm passes harmlessly overhead.

So far the reception from businesses has been excellent, because they all want to lower their fees, and I'm in the position to do that for them 99% of the time.
However... I went to work for Worldcom in Jan 2002 just before that shitstorm. In two weeks, the stock plummeted from $6 to $.07, mostly due to Bernie Ebbers. But perhaps I should be paid to NOT work for companies.

Bob, you are a beloved member of this forum, not some wack-off that just wants to use our space for his/her own purpose. 3.There ain't a snowball's chance in hell that your going to sell anything to these guys, I've tried.

Nevertheless, as professional salesperson I must point out... My product/service is something that business owners already use, and my company often provides the same or better service more efficiently and for less fees to the retailer. And no money changes hands when I close a deal. For example, The Podium would be an excellent client for me - I imagine lots of credit and debit purchases. So would a private medical professional. In fact, I've already signed 3 docs in my area, a veterinarian, and a CPA firm. They all will be saving 10-30% on their monthly fees. It's not card users that are my potential clients, it's the card accepters. So, if any of you accept plastic for the services you provide, or are considering eCommerce through your website, you are/will be paying a percentage of your gross receipts to some financial institution. Wouldn't you like to pay as little as possible?

The key is your number of posts doesn't say "1". As in the request for business wasn't your first post ot the board. I do have to applaud your stealth though. Posting over 1,680 times just so you would get a pass on this ad was brilliant.
