Yesterday we leased our home to a family effective April 2nd. We are moving to a 2 bedroom apartment in Tiburon, CA. Just six short weeks to downsize our stuff and get ready. Going from 9 rooms to just 4, 2200 sq ft to 1300.
With both of our houses rented long term we will be able to allow them to regain the values when/if the real esate market recovers. At least, that's the plan. Mixed feelings abound!
We will then have 2 rentals that cache fleaux and be renting ourselves. The new place is on the water and has dead on views of the bay and San Francisco. Also in a flat area and easier to take walks. Patricia will be very happy about that. I will have no maintenance, yard work, remodeling, etc!
Lots of stuff to do!

That's exactly what I was thinking. I have a cousin who lives a couple of blocks from Golden Gate Park. Can we coordinate Bay Jam with the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival Oct. 1-3? - Dub HSBF is awesome, and there is a common area at our complex that may be available for a jam. I'm up for that. Evan, San Quentin is near San Rafael - I play baseball there in the summer. |

All sounds good. We moved to a townhouse last year, so I wouldn't have to do any outside maintenance. It's a good thing. Enjoy, sounds great.

Got mixed up there, bob...I was thinking Larkspur. I don't play baseball anywhere. I guess San Quentin's sorta Larkspur Landing - it's the last exit before the San Rafael bridge. They have their own post office there, so the mailing address is SQ, Cell xxx.  I won't be playing baseball this summer - knee replacemant surgery scheduled for late May or early June.  |
