Well, here's hoping Trampster got in uneventfully from his monumental flight. He should be in transit tween customs and trams and TSA check-in as we speak. Looks like here's a monster rain front heading this way. But it has been clear and should stay so for a little while longer. He could get off OK. radar.weather.gov/Conus/centgrtlakes_loop.php

Morning. Nasty storm came through with 50 - 70 mph winds. I thought we were going to lose power, but the lights didn't shut down for more than a second or so. The nice thing about this morning's storm was that it left as quickly as it came.

Good morning. It's still dark here. Over the weekend our highs were in the 80s but today we'll be back up to desert temperatures.
I'm working on my biggest and most interesting case at work, fighting with our legislature. If I didn't enjoy this, I should change jobs. But I do.
Enjoy your day.

Mornin'..... Upper 90's, more of the same. Need to print off some more tests/grades from Shay's school last year before I can clear all that and load this year's curriculum. In other breaking news, my good friend Sen. Tim Huelskamp R-Fowler (his adopted black kids are in the same homeschool group with us) who has held his Senate seat since 1997, won his primary yesterday, running for U.S. Congress. Hurray for Tim.

G'morning everyone. The Arlington Acoustic Camp starts tomorrow and though I'm registered for the mandolin classes a look at the schedule makes me wonder if I made the right choice. They are teaching swing guitar in the guitar sessions and that's something I'd love to attend. I think my Goodall is a mighty fine instrument for jazz/swing and I sure need the help. Help, what do I do.

Waiting on the storms here. I just ran and it was like running underwater. 80 degrees and 99% humidity at 7 Ayem-in-the-morning.
I've been throwing lots of porcelain in the past week. I got in a new ton and this batch is the best ever. Big bowls, getting caught up on some casseroles I sold out of, and some pitchers.

No storms here last night, we managed to shove them all to Illinois.
I'm off to meet my office mate so we can clean before the school year gets started. She's one of my favoritest people in the world. I never thought that one of my best friends would be a 60 year old woman, but she most certainly is. She's a well-known psychologist, and we've dubbed her "the walking encyclopedia".

Good morning! A little steamy here already. The Jays are eating us out of house and home!
It's the President's birthday, don't you know.

I hate car shopping, but here I go again. My daughter's car's head gasket is going.

Good morning. Sun's out here but when I got over to the golf course it was raining so came back home. Hot and muggy anyway so it wouldn't have been fun. Need to practice for the open mic tonight. Couldn't play worth a damn last night. Here come the nerves.
Sek, it's not bad enough the Jays are eating you out of house and home, they're 5 games behind Boston in the American League East.

Beautiful bowls, John.
Wow the mosquitoes are so bad right now. The guitar club that I was attending meets in a park. Last week I couldn't go but heard they had to quit early because the skeeters were so bad. I didn't even bother to go last night. In the fall they go back indoors and I'll pick it up then.
Had fun watching all the swallows and dragonflies swoop and turn having their feast as MrR sat on the deck waiting for dinner to cook last night.
This week is our condo complex picnic and I'm trying to make up songbooks to have a sing along. Figure I'll just recycle a lot of the music I have ready for the nursing homes...just deleting the chords on my music sheets and reprinting them. Takes time though. That's today's project.
Hot drippy grey weather here today. It's better than winter. It's better than winter. It's better than winter....

Good day, I have a summer cold, a rarity for me. I foresee a day at home, where I can and prolly will do some work editing, call it a half-sick day.
Speaking of beautiful pottery, John will be in Minneapolis this weekend. Alas, I am working latish on Friday and have to drive to Rochester on Saturday for an overnighter gig there. Only chance to see him might be Sunday, how late do you show, sir?

I'm not coming this year. I cancelled Powderhorn. Many told me that it's no Uptown.

I'm not coming this year. I cancelled Powderhorn. Many told me that it's no Uptown. Oh, dang it. Or maybe not. Powderhorn is not as crowded and has a little more gunfire. Still, I was hoping to see you and that you would make a gazillion dollars up ehre and stuff. So can you come to my Rochester gig now?
