So can you come to my Rochester gig now? I'm working on Swanannoa. One step at a time. I told Dar yesterday that I don't want anything for my birthday -- just save up for Swanannoa. (She wants to attend the malamute nationals and compete with Breeze next year. In the crazy "if you get to do that, then I get to do this" that is middle aged marriage, my chances of Swanannoa are greatly enhanced by the malamute nationals).

BTW, I think the total is more like $800 than $900, unless there is some sort of Republican-based price increase.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to go next year. The swing/jazz thing really has my interest. I'll have to fly and will take the Cargo so I don't have to worry about it expanding like some Martins do. I only worry about the walking but nothing ventured......

A quiet day in the grasslands of SE Arizona. And we got grasses. Just got the yard in order a week ago and it looks like we didn't do anything.
Since there's no rain in the forecast today, we'll be getting the camper in order for an upcoming trip. Haven't used it yet this summer because of other travel. We still have some time, but we will no doubt find problems and need time to fix them.

We still have some time, but we will no doubt find problems and need time to fix them. We took our camper out the first weekend of May. With everything else that's gone on, it has sat with the grass dying under it since. Maybe I can get it out the weekend after IJam.

Progress report: haven't found anything wrong with the camper yet, but still trying. We need to get the propane tank filled, but we had enough in there to check the stove and refrigerator. Still need to watch Mr. H climb up on the roof to inspect it. Still need to check the plumbing. Although not as hot as Phoenix here, things do tend to crack or melt. It's really hot inside the camper, since it has been closed up.
I love camping. I don't like the preparation or the return. Someday we'll decide that we don't want to mess with this anymore.
