Well, they're kinda open. I thinking about crossing the country leaving the SF Bay Area a weeek or two after I attend iJam. Not sure what route I'm taking but I'll eventually end up in the Northeast. Then returning (whenever I do) I'll most certainly take th southern route. I've also decided that bringing Dante with me will be too limiting, so it'll be just me in whatever car I have then. (Still hoping to sell the Jag).

Sounds like fun, t-bob. As for routes, you might want to read Larry McMurtry's book Highways, about the various routes available and what they're like.
I did a drive around the country when I was 22. I've been itching to do another. Maybe when I retire. If I have the energy then.

I would think a road trip in a Jag would be a blast (provided you arrange your route so that it follows the dealer/service network).

Just remember, "Busted flat in Baton Rouge".
NO, WAIT. I meant,
"Baton Rouge, Baton Rouge, I'm gonna get me some alligator shoes. I'm gonna wear em out down in Baton Rouge."
Eh? You could take up residence in the Sekmet Memorial Wing of Pyle Plaza.

Kinda half hoping Jag doesn't sell so I can use it. It's actually very reliable.
And quite the chick magnet.

Camping? Motels? Staying with friends? Taking instruments? Sounds intriguing. And Sept-November is probably the best time to make a trip like this.

Sounds like a great trip. On the road. If you have problems in the midwest, my brother is a mechanic who works on Jags.

Camping? Motels? Staying with friends? Taking instruments? Sounds intriguing. And Sept-November is probably the best time to make a trip like this. Probably camping, with a few motels thrown in for added cleanliness. Taking a guitar, maybe my old beater Goya classical, maybe more. If I'm in the Jag, I have a ton of room. Considering buying a bare bones 88 keyboard. Staying with friends if I have any left. Hopefully, the Yankees will make the playoffs and I can see a live game or three in NY or even possibly at an opponent's location - hmmm, Dallas, Tampa, D-troyt, Minneapolis? I have MLB.com to watch games on the iPad or iPhone. Yes, I yam addicted to baseball. Getting pretty excited aboot it. My wife is pretty resentful about the trip, but hey, she wants a divorce, and at the very least, we need a longish break from each other. She needs to "get over it". It's gonna be fun! Among other things...

Will you be coming out the 80 towards Lake Tahoe? I'm only about 3 to 4 hours away from you depending on traffic. We're just east of Auburn.

Good luck. I always wanted to take Highway 50 from the Pacific to the Atlantic. Would take you past my house and through DC on the way. And some brilliant WV countryside.
My best whatever you decide.

I highly recommend taking to the highway and the Sekhmet Memorial wing of the Pyle Plaza. You couldn't spend time in a finer place with finer people.
wishing you the best T-Bob

Sounds great. Took a couple of long motorcycle trips down through the US when I was younger. I'd love to do it again, if I had a bike and a spouse who'd let me. So, perhaps a car sometime.

Marshall, based on that man-crush remark, we won't be sharing a room at iJam no more. And thank you, I guess.
