Anyone want to predict future outcome(s)? I'll go with Philly in the NL. Think they'll win in 4 or 5 over the Giants. As much as I'd like to go with my team, I think any of the three now remaining in the AL could go to the WS. Slight edge to Yanks or Rangers. Once there, I have to give the edge to the Phillies. Awesome pitching. Not willing to put any money where my mouth is. All that being said, go Yankees!

Just to make a fool of myself, Phillies vs. Yankees in the World Series with the Phillies winning. I wanted the Twins but they're toast.
Go Diamondbacks.

I'm pulling for the Rays tonight. It only seems right that the Rays and Yanks meet to settle the issue of who the best American League team is. They were the best all year long and they have unsettled business to attend to. And it is a series I would enjoy watching. If it is Texas instead of the Rays, that's fine, too. In ether case, I would probably pick the Yanks.
Like nearly everyone else, I don't see anyone anywhere beating the Phillies. But, you never know. I never thought anyone could beat Detroit a couple years ago, and a weak St. Louis team managed to do so. A couple hot pitchers, a couple cold pitchers, and there she goes, one way or another.

Poor Cleveland. They had both C.C. Sabathia and Cliff Lee. And they couldn't hang on to them.

I'm out, we closed the season and said goodbye to the manager's career Sunday night.

If it ends up Phils/Yanks, there are 2 pitchers on each team with serious no-hit stuff - Halladay & Hamels and CC & Hughes. Could be a great series. But they both have to get there first. Hell, the Rangers have Cliff Lee and the Giants have The Freak, also both with no-hit stuff. Pitching is definitely going to be at the forefront the rest of the way. Fun, fun fun. And when it's over, I have the NFL, NHL (I may get the NHL package from DirecTV this year), and the stupid ass NBA to look forward to - or ignore. Perhaps time will be better spent on guitar and piano improvement.

After the Rangers beat the Rays, the Rays fans started chanting, "Beat the Yankees!"

All fourteen of them?
Say, is Ken a Rays fan? He might have been there.

Yankees over Rangers 4 games to 1. Phillies over Giants 4 games to 2. Phils win Series over Yankees 4 games to 2. Don't bet the mortgage on this. I am notoriously bad at picking sporting events.

I'd have to go with the Rangers to win it all. That and the Saints all in one year would just be too wacky.

I'll go with McCoy. Being from Boston, I was brought up to hate the Yankees.

The last time I paid any attention to baseball was 1960. Just about the last time any Pirate fan had any reason to pay attention. As much as I admire many of the players for that NY team in pinstripes, I still root for 'any team but the Yankees' in any playoff scenario, especially after the last few times they've played the Twins in the playoffs.
