Up and attem, campers!
Electric range repair at one of my rental properties this morning, and a stress test at the cardiologist this afternoon (isn't stress what I been doing for the past - insert length of time here_________?)
After all the Joni musical viewing and listening, I've dusted off the dulcimer and been having some fun with it. I think I need to replace the 9 yr old set of strings.

Good luck with the stress test, Bob. I hate those things. The last time I went the doctor had four nurses strip down and I had to choose just one.

Up and awake and off to the airport. Heading to lovely Fayetteville, NC for a conference through Friday. It's a might warmer there.

It's starting to feel like spring with a few nice warmups followed immediately by cold days.
Tonight I'm going with a group of colleagues from work to see Randy Newman--fresh from winning his second Oscar (2 out of 20 nominations). Looking forward to it, but between today working 6:30 to 5:00 and then driving to C'ville and tomorrow working 6:30-5:30 and then staying late for bowling league, I'm gonna be one tired puppy come Thursday.
Bought an elliptical at Sears on the weekend. Seems like just the thing for my wife since she has no cartilage left in her knees and can't use a treadmill. Maybe it will help me lose some weight.

Good morning. I have to report for jury duty today. I used to go with the notion that I might actually get picked. I've learned that I won't be, so it's just a dull day spent in fulfillment of civic duty. My only hope is that I'll be called for a potential panel early and rejected, in which case I'll get to leave.
Have a good day.

A pretty decent day, weather-wise, and the sun will be shining for the second day in a row.

It's starting to feel like spring with a few nice warmups followed immediately by cold days. . . . , Ho boy! Can't say that around here. Though, I suppose we did have a mid 50s burst about a week ago. But that was just a freak accident that makes the Indian Winter even tougher to bear. This is the period when Winter gets unbearable up noth. It's not the severity; it's the longevity of the stinkin thing that gets to you.

I'll be 62 this year, I've been registered to vote for forty years, had a drivers license for 47 years, owned real estate for 35 years, no criminal record, only moved once in the last 30 years.
I can't understand why I'm never called for jury duty? I have gotten a letter once or twice and filled out the questionnaire here in Orange County but no call-up. And in Fairfax where I lived for 30 something years, never got called. Folks in my office who lived in DC served every few years.
Maybe it's those FBI photos from the sixties.

G'mornin' - 38 on the way to 43 with a chance of snow? Don't care, it was sunny for part of the day yesterday, and might be sunny for part of today - I'm gonna think positive and be sunny!

I'm in pain. I don't know what I did but somehow I've strained/sprained my right wrist. My right hand is about 75% unusable. Guitar playing is out, I had to have Claire open my medicine vials this morning. Looks like ibuprofen and an ace bandage for me today. If it doesn't improve I'll see the Dr. Ouch.
Have a great day everyone.

Mornin'..... Right at 34.5º, heading possibly to a high of low 70's. I have one of my thinnest Hawaiian shirts on. It's just too weird. And the ongoing saga of Tyrone.....not medically, but mathematically. He is crashing in Algebra I. The S.I.T. team (student improvement team) instructed him to redo 7 math sets. He got around 3 of them done by a deadline from the teacher, but added 2 more F sets. He managed to fix 2 of them, before adding another 2. 9 sets to do. Starts trying to take old, corrected sets to pull answers from. That didn't work since I found out. So I confiscated some and the teacher quit handing them back. Next, we find out he was planning on getting another classmates papers. We foiled that too. But last night, he came home from a girl's basketball game with another friend's Math book, complete with a corrected copy of the set he needed to do last night. But he went to bed without doing it. I discovered the book and papers before I went to bed, and took the papers. He got up at 6:00 a.m. to work on the set. Uh oh. I got up at 6:30, he closed the book and went back to bed, not saying anything. Got back up at 7:30, threw on some clothes and left. Still didn't say anything. I'll be heading over to the school in a few minutes to return the other kid's papers.....and leave the whole thing with the principal. Man, I wish he'd make better choices.

Morning.
We've got an interesting gig tonight. We're playing "Americana Night" at a cafe in Greenbelt that serves Lebanese food. Still haven't figured out how we became categorized as Americana, but growing up in Dearborn, MI, Lebanese food is nectar of the gods!
I can feel it already. What a night it will be.

Marshall, I hear you. 15 seconds of Club Med sounds good right now.

Good afternoon. Nice day out. Coming back from the doctor's awhile ago I noticed the Pair trees are starting to bloom. In a day or so they will be pure white with blossoms. I'm ready!
