Good call Bill. A couple of years back 'Nita got me a Shun chef knife. Nothing like a good knife in the kitchen.

At $210 I'd say they were overpriced. At $90 I'd say you got an awesome deal. I like Global knives. But I only have (and can afford) one. ![](http://iweb.cooking.com/images/products/enlarge/135722e.jpg)

Gud grab, Bill. Gud knifes are gud. I got a set from Brookstone 5 years ago, 10"chef, paring, carving, serrated, & serving fork, supposedly made by Henckel, but private labeled. They've all been the workhorses of the kitchen. I sharpen them every two to three months with one of doz diamond tipped V-shaped thingies.

I got a ceramic knife for Christmas. One of those "Sold on TV" never gets dull things. Very odd little creature. You have to be careful not to shatter the things but it cuts what it cuts well VERY well. the knife you got looks VERY nice. You done good.

Well done William. We have a big old Henckel that I love to use, but wish it had the concave sides like yours to keep vegies from sticking to it when I slice.
