Man o man. That winder you make takes restringing to almost a pleasant task. I do have a request. is there a way to line the interior of the tuner grabber to make it more secure? Or perhaps just make it a little deeper? It keeps slipping off the knobs. Ship me one and I'll test drive it for you.

Makes me think.....it would be cool to find a Marty Reynolds string winder and bridge pin pullere in the neck compartment of my new guitar case. ;D
t-bob.....what kind of knobs are you trying to use that on?

Grovers, on a Taylor 312CE. I think if the slot on the winder were 3/16" deeper, there would be no problemo.

Marty's winders are indeed wonderful. They have to be experiences to be fully appreciated. - Dub

I got the motorized version. Slant 6, 225 cubic inches, 3.40" diameter bore size and piston.

I also designed it to be used with the guitar laying on its back with the neck on a neck block or padded vise. With the guitar on it's back it is easy to keep the winder centered and on the tuner. Good guitar vises are expensive but a neck block works quite well. Terry's Stew Mac neck rest. Shooting rest bags. Fleet Farm $20 or Sporting Goods store. The short bag works on electric guitars and the tall bag acoustic's. You're welcome.
