A touch of insomnia. And watching Robin Hood. Enjoyable so far.
Enjoy the day.
Edit:
RH was a prequel, very interesting, well acted, good cast, and direction. Just one longish battle scene. Perhaps a little sleep now.

Good morning. Broke the water pipe that feeds the house while changing the filter yesterday. Called a couple of plumbers but couldn't get anyone that late so I fixed it myself. Glad I paid attention to the trades while growing up, got water and no leaks. Fortunately, wife was at work and doesn't know. Got asked to play in a golf tournament Saturday, I think because I have such a high handicap. Wife said I should go practice today which sounds like permission to go to the golf course!!!

A touch of insomnia. And watching Robin Hood. Enjoyable so far. The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood is next up on my Kindle. I'm not particularly looking forward to it, but I'm thinking it can't be too bad. And looking on the bright side, when I randomly selected it from nearly 400 freebie books, it's not War and Peace. That's in there somewhere, and the day I draw that one is really going to suck.

See if you can survive that before attempting "War and Peace".

Good morning... Bass player Reid and I are doing an hour set on a cable TV show tonight that actually has good production values, multiple cameras, real studio lighting and a competent director. Might get some usable video footage outta this.

Lonnie, what show? Is the plan to have the full hour aired, or is it supposed to be edited down to just a few songs?

Good morning. We got soaked yesterday with a slow all day rain of more than 2" here at the house. We really needed it and there may be more today.

Lonnie, what show? Is the plan to have the full hour aired, or is it supposed to be edited down to just a few songs? It's called "TC Muzique" on MTN (Minnesota TV Network). I don't think it's streamed, their web site is a little shaky. It's a full hour, mostly music, an interview with the host, who is quirky, to say the least. I did the show once before, with Carl Franzén and Rahjta Ren. They gave me a file of the show and I was able to pull some clips, which are here: www.lonnieknight.com/rnt.htmlCarl's stuff is interesting, Rahjta and I have a sketch of the chord progressions, but Carl never plays the stuff the same way twice, so there's a lot of improvisation going on, along with the occasional obligatory train wreck. This is MTN's web site www.mtn.org.

Mornin'..... I'll have to check out Lonnie's videos here when I get caught up some. Need to find a good RV repair place, as this weekend when we set up, I found a 6" split in the cold water line going to the sink. Hooked up the hose, turned on the water, and heard Barb's voice shrieking "SHUT IT OFF!!!!" Maybe Bruce can come by and fix it. New family photos arrived the other day. A new pictorial church directory is being made and we scored a few from that photo shoot. Here are a couple of the better ones.....

So, Bruce is dealing with plumbing problems, as is Doug, as is Don, and here I sit waiting for a plumber who is gonna hook up a pipe to my wallet and suck $425 out of it!

I am fortunate that my brother-in-law is a plumber and we can get things fixed for the price of beer.

You don't even want to know what I charge to be a plumber. If it's PVC, you just cut out the old and glue in the new. Then remember to drain the system before it freezes again, which is the only thing I can think of that would cause a 6" split. The trick with PVC is to get a can of cleaner to clean the pipe and unions before putting the glue on, then insert the new pipe and give it a twist.

Not a lot going on today, doing some administrative stuff this morning/early afternoon. I'll be working on a refret/new nut/new saddle today - I have a job audition in a couple of weeks, and I need to get as much of that stuff in as possible between now and then.
