Well, another day has dawned somewhere, and close to setting somewhere else.
Enjoy whatever part of the day you have in front of you.
Me, it'll be some serious Wimbledon watching, weather permitting. And baseball as backup, thanks to DirecTVs Extra Inning offering. Probably some guitar noodling - I'm playing around with a 5 string capo for the first time, just discovered that I own one, trying to learn Dear Prudence from the current AG mag version. Easier to pick up than I expected.
Over and out...

I'm on the same side of sleep as you are, Bob. I sold my Gibson, so I need to get it shipped on Saturday. Trying to think of other guitars I can sell. Maybe my Fender, or my Ibanez, or both. The harp guitar is on consignment, and I have a couple of Harmonys I could unload. Trying to lighten my load before I move.
Now I'm trying to find some place to live that will accept me as a tenant given my new income limitations. It's been a long time since I've had to worry about this.

Morning. I'm in between sleeps. That's life isn't it? I'm enjoying Netflix on my BluRay machine. Watching Life On Mars - I missed the first show, probably some others. I think this stuff is gonna be addicting. After I'm done with that one, I'll start Sons of Anarchy - missed a few of them as well. A little sleep will help now. Actually I think Wimbledon is on now. Yep, watching Sharapova/Zakopolova with sound off, don't need all the grunts/screams. Don't think I'll be throwing away my TV.

After offering my thoughts on reading vs TV the other day, AT&T is offering free HBO and CineMax (or whatever that second one is) this weekend. I spent about 30 to 45 minutes going through all the listings, recording anything I might want to watch. Then I told Jadene that Bikini Space Invaders (something like that) was no mistake, so don't erase it. Now the pressure's on. I have to start watching TV, trying to stay ahead of the DVR's recording capacity so it doesn't automatically erase the movies from Friday to make room for the movies on Sunday.

Mornin'.....
Beauteous morning here after reaching a scorching 105º yesterday. We did all weekend chores yesterday so we would be free to enjoy watching Ty play in a summer league basketball tournament.
You can't imagine the difference in his spirit and attitude with sports being back in his life.

Lawn mower repair day today. If I'm successful then Sunday will be lawn care day. As long as the rain stays away. We've been having some serious thunderstorms lately.

Mornin
Not quite my usual Saturday. Breakfast at the Square Peg at 8:30 but but today my darling wife may show up with a few granddaughters in tow. Last Jan/Feb or so Podium salesperson David Roos slipped on the ice and broke his hip, today may be David's first full day back to work. No word on a house yet, still looking.

Mr. H and I would have been leaving for a 10 day trip to Portland, OR today, but canceled due to our refugee status. Still hoping to make it there, maybe in August.
We've been home since Thursday morning and it looks like we'll be staying put. The Monument Fire is over 60% contained, which does not mean that it's anywhere close to being out. But it has burned through here, coming to within 9/10 of a mile of our house. A second fire, the Garden Fire, was the reason for our first of three evacuations. It started from sparks from a bulldozer that was clearing a fire break, moved very quickly, and came to 6/10 of a mile of our house.
Today's task is to take files and photos and valuables out of the SUV and put them back where they belong so that one of us doesn't have to guard the car when we go out.
It will take a while to get our stuff and our lives back together.

Good Morning Good People
A beautiful summer morning on the Third Coast after a long wretched week at work.
Much of the day will be spent in the basement. The Great Screen Door Project is moving at a glacial pace.
Have a melodious Saturday one and all.

G'morning. I just got back from breakfast with the Beemer gang. They had scheduled a workshop on GPSs after breakfast but I didn't feel up to going. Too bad, I could use some training on this little device. I can get from here to there with it and I can download a scheduled route and follow it but after that I'm lost. We use it a lot on our cycles.
It felt good to be out on the scoot but I think it's going to get to the upper 90s this afternoon so it was time to go home. It's going to be a good day to pick on my music, not ride scooters.

Good morning. Today is Party in the Park, which is Vinton's annual town celebration. We'll head down there late this afternoon at some point.
