Awwwww, MAN! So what are the dates for "Newfest Days" next year? Maybe we could just black those days out on the iJam calendar. - Dub

Maybe next year we should just invade Newfest.

Not a bad idea, right there.

Epaul, since Vintonites don't seem to be able to accept the name "Idiotjam", I've changed it to "Newfest Days". I've gone ahead and put you in charge of the sound stage, and signed up Anna for her debut. Our shingles need replacing after a storm we had this summer, so I've got a ladder and a potato fork for Gus. He can do some tear-off Saturday so I can get to work after everyone leaves. I'll park my truck under the eave. Can he drive a stick?

Both my kids can drive a stick. (Anna passed her driver's test using one, ((the Prism)).
Hang on to that potato fork. Currently they are going for about $1600-$2,000 on ebay. If you have a Wernblatten Russet Stick, put it under lock and key, those suckers are worth a small fortune.
Anyway, it's short notice, but I will do some checking and see if I can get Newfest moved to Vinton. (I have long felt that the Hobo Haus' Cartoon Kegger deserved national exposure, and Vinton would be an excellent start.)
If it works out, be prepared for an additional 500 or so folks, (including some from Argyle and Strandquist, which could kick the number up to 523 or so).

How about Dorothy? Would we have to change our venue?

The car is loaded and I'll be heading for Cedar Rapids soon. Then to Vinton. I'll probably be there around 3:30 PM at the Cobblestone Inn. Give me a call if you're in town and we'll hang out and eat and drink and stuff. Oh, and pick too. Fiddlerina will join us on Friday in Garrison. Probably about 4:00 PM. - Dub

I have decided to leave my guitar at home. Checking it for 4 different flights makes me nervous, and I imagine there will be a few spare guitars hanging around, eh?

I am heading to Colorado for a week next Wed. and would LOVE to bring my Cargo...but since I will have my mom "in tow" (who is a delightful woman but one who needs much tending during travel) I wonder if the concern about guitar carry is worth the effort...

The difference between you and T-Bob is that T-Bob will be arriving at a place where guitars are available. You won't be. But I completely understand the effort of traveling with a delightful older person, and I know where your energy will be going.

Exactly, Todd.
Not sure what I will do....
Sure would be easier if I was just contemplating whether to bring the Martin and/or the Cargo to IJam!!!
Hopefully next year...

Not hopefully. For sure. Lots of weird things going on in the education world, Resolve, and I do believe we see eye to eye on 99% of things. Data is important, but let's find a way to streamline things to students can get the services they deserve.
