Finally made it home. Lots of baby hugs and books read already. A guy could get used to this.

Thanks, Bill. I landed at 12:54, which was 22 minutes before that particular flight was supposed to land. I called Kathy on the cell, and she said, "Oh! You're early!" I said, "No! I'm 13 hours late!"

That Dylan guy ain't bad. Interesting video. Pretty slick high tech. Cool song. A little long. Too bad he can't sing. Somehow I don't think he'd ever make it in a Nashville Songwriter Circle. I could hear Darrel Scott doing that one great. Mr. Alphabet, have you seen the movie in which the song is played, Wonder Boys? It's a good 'un, and one of Michael Douglas' best performances.

Bruce, I hope your bird survives. It's a muggy little morning here and looking to get hot. Probably the last hot day of the summer. We thought to head to the beach later. One last time. Don't know if it survived but it did get medical assistance. mary awoke early so I told her about the bird which was still sitting on the poolside. She immediately went out and diagnosed it as having hypothermia and exhaustion. The bird was transferred to intensive care which involved me and a hairdryer, something I have little use for. We had to raise the bird's core temperature and dry it out. after an hour or so of treatment, it was moving around some. Later I tried to pick it up but it jumped off the table and started toward the far end of the pool area. I let it out the back gate. Now, I think its right wing was injured but it didn't seem broken. It left the area, on foot, but under its own power. I assume it found a place to hide and recuperate. I haven't seen it since and didn't get its insurance information or mailing address for the bill.
