Good morning. Found a rather large bird stuck in one of the pool skimmers this morning. Thought it was dead but when I got it out it's still breathing and occasionally shaking its head. I doubt it will survive but I'll give it a chance. I have no idea how or why it managed to get in there. With no lawn tractor hurricane cleanup is on hold. Might go see what shape the golf course is in. Have a good day. It's Friday for the workers of the world.

Bruce, I hope your bird survives.
It's a muggy little morning here and looking to get hot. Probably the last hot day of the summer. We thought to head to the beach later. One last time.

When the alarm went off I discovered it's only Friday. I was really hoping for Saturday.

Woke up with thunder and now it's raining. I was planning yard work today. What a shame.

It was 100 yesterday, and it's hot and muggy this morning. Expecting some big storms as a front passes through.

1963 - CBS & NBC expand network news from 15 to 30 minutes.
I vaguely remember when the news was a short segment. The networks made it short and sweet and relevant, even at a 1/2 hour. I recall that the news was something to look forward to. Now there's so much of it, it's something to be avoided, at least to me.
Things have changed. by Bob Dylan
A worried man with a worried mind No one in front of me and nothing behind There's a woman on my lap and she's drinking champagne Got white skin, got assassin's eyes I'm looking up into the sapphire tinted skies I'm well dressed, waiting on the last train
[Bridge #1:] Standing on the gallows with my head in a noose Any minute now I'm expecting all hell to break loose
[Chorus] People are crazy and times are strange I'm locked in tight, I'm out of range I used to care, but things have changed
This place ain't doing me any good I'm in the wrong town, I should be in Hollywood Just for a second there I thought I saw something move Gonna take dancing lessons do the jitterbug rag Ain't no shortcuts, gonna dress in drag Only a fool in here would think he's got anything to prove
[Bridge #2] Lot of water under the bridge, Lot of other stuff too Don't get up gentlemen, I'm only passing through
[chorus]
I've been walking forty miles of bad road If the bible is right, the world will explode I've been trying to get as far away from myself as I can Some things are too hot to touch The human mind can only stand so much You can't win with a losing hand
[Bridge #3] Feel like falling in love with the first woman I meet Putting her in a wheel barrow and wheeling her down the street
[chorus]
I hurt easy, I just don't show it You can hurt someone and not even know it The next sixty seconds could be like an eternity Gonna get low down, gonna fly high All the truth in the world adds up to one big lie I'm love with a woman who don't even appeal to me
[Bridge #4] Mr. Jinx and Miss Lucy, they jumped in the lake I'm not that eager to make a mistake
[chorus]
Well, well, well... jesu christie!

Morn'n
This weekend I'm going to start shifting things from my Podium shop to my Home shop. Not everything, just the odds n ends that I don't use often. Now that the Home shop is clean and dry I could move the guitar archive, probably find guitars that I forgot I had.

Is that your song, T-bob? Interesting lyrics!! Hot HOT here! Headed to my hometown with my duo partner who was sweet enough to agree to a road trip so I (we) could play for my aunt and her fellow residents at her care facility. My mom will come back to Milw. with me for the weekend. Gotta go load the car! TGIF for the worker-bees.

Mornin'.....
Ty has his first football game of the season tonight. After all he endured last year having to abstain, it will be such a joy to see him on the field.
I'm hoping (although admittedly not too certain she'll accept) that Shay will take me up on my offer to come to Dodge City and pick her up to go to the game. Her initial reaction was more smoke and flames coming from her mouth, but then yesterday she was beginning to re-think that. I guess I'll find out.....maybe last minute.....but I'll be ready to go if she calls. The other variable here is how she reacts to finding out that if her vicious and adversarial behavior will no longer be tolerated by me and that if she wants to go to the game with me she has to call me and ask me if I'll come get her.

That Dylan guy ain't bad. Interesting video. Pretty slick high tech.
Cool song. A little long. Too bad he can't sing. Somehow I don't think he'd ever make it in a Nashville Songwriter Circle.
I could hear Darrel Scott doing that one great.

Morning. Another hot & muggy one here, but at least we're not into the hundreds.
I think I may try McCoy's BBQ rib method this weekend.
