Darn those Rangers! Because they won, the Brewers play at 7 instead of 3. We're babysitting the grandbabies while their parents attend the game and I was hoping to have the afternoon with them. They go to bed at 7.
Other than that, not much going on today.
I've been working on a couple of songs for our Halloween set list (SO GLAD I asked for suggestions here...have a couple of songs I'm really enjoying working up that I did not know about til you guys gave me suggestions). This will be a little different venue for my duo partner and I....it's an independent living senior apartment complex rather than an assisted care facility. It'll be interesting to see how it differs.
Have a great day everyone!

It's nice out today. I'm off to finish tearing out the garden, cleaning the garage, etc.

Cloudy, rainy, blowy day here.
My computer is almost back together. Trying to locate some more RAM for the thing. You would think that the store wasn't interested in selling RAM ....
Going to clean house today. It sure is quiet with no Lars here.

Ever have one of those days where you were up so late the night before, you feel hung-over even though you didn't drink?
That's today.
Late night last night. Came in second in a poker tournament. That's nice.
Good friend of mine is in town for a few days. Gonna hang out with him this afternoon. That'll be nice.
Cheers, all!

^^^I feel that way now. Of course, the fact that we played a 3-hour wine bar gig and then closed the place down could have something to do with it...
Also played a 2-hour solo CG gig yesterday afternoon; in all, I'm glad my hands are still holding up-five hours is a lot of gigging with classical guitar.
Going to go for a hike today, and maybe take the motorcycle out for a fall ride swan song, then more wine bar gig tonight.

Morn'n Lots to do today, kitchen is a mess, lots of boxes from my Podium shop are sitting in the living room and need to be taken down to my home shop. My truck is full of stuff to go to the home shop and I need to get that out so I can go buy materials to build benches in the new shop. Sometime during all this shifting stuff around I"m going to the pistol range. So does that mean you won't be working at the Podium anymore after a certain point? No. It means that some of the work will be done at my home shop so I won't have to put up with the constant interruptions. I will still do set ups and pickup installs at the Podium but that is only part of my income. Major work and rebuilt guitars make up a good part of my income and the constant phone calls and questions take up so much time that any major work takes forever to complete. My home shop (324 sq ft) is much bigger than the Podium shop (126 sq ft) and I will have room to work on multiple projects at the same time. There is another reason for the home shop, I'm going to start documenting my repair work, something like I did for Rebuilding a Harmony, this will eventually become a book on guitar repair. There is no way I could do this at the Podium and still keep the level of customer service up.

OK.....I'm still here too. ;D
Been back from Dodge for awhile. The new song on the electric went well.....aside from the sound guy not cranking me up enough to push the tube screamers to optimum levels. He's new, so I'll just have to get him trained on how to set my guitars. The acoustic is fine, but that was the first time with him when I had my electric on.
I'm very much hoping the end is in sight regarding the stuff with Shay. I sent my other two kids down to the school playground earlier and Barb and I had a chance to talk undisturbed. We are now together on the fact that Shay and I have to meet face to face and work this out.....and I'm going to see about arranging that to happen this coming Saturday. I'm heading back up to Dodge in a bit to take Ty to basketball, and plan to get with Pastor Phil about a time. Keep that in the thoughts and prayers this week. I absolutely have to put my family back together.
