Jim.....the Anton murders happened about 20 miles north of Fowler. A descendant of the Antons is an upright bass player I've picked with numerous times. I meant the Clutters in Holcomb. I never played music with a Clutter, but I do have a room named after them.

I never played music with a Clutter, but I do have a room named after them. Somehow around here both names get used interchangeably. I've never read the book, just heard the stories that have been handed down locally. Holcomb is just west of Garden City and maybe an hour and a half away, so they're both close. Who knows? And I'm finding way too many clutter rooms here as I pack.

Guess the headline act did OK. I have a paid gig Saturday night 6:30-8:30. The scheduled act had to cancel due to a death in the family so after I played tonight the owner called me over and asked if I could play Saturday. I took it. If I survive, I can take that note out of the bucket, the one that says "Get paid to play".
