Good morning.
Off to substitute teach in the local high school. It's a spanish class. I don't know the language.
Sometimes you just have to marvel at the logic of the world.

Good morning. If you didn't read the last of yesterday's thread, the nursing home gig went well and I was told that I can play there anytime, just call and set up a time. That gets me in to the places I was aiming at when I started back playing about 3 years ago. And then I got the ad for tonight's open mic:
""First Wednesday" open mic tomorrow evening the headliner at the 8 0'clock hour will be none other than the fine and talented Bruce "Scotty" MacNeill. Scotty has a voice like cool water on a hot day and plays guitar with a jazzman's touch. Treat yourselves to an evening of fine local music and terrific food at The Great Machipongo Clam Shack (442-3800). The evening kicks off at 6 p.m. and usually goes until 10 p.m. Hope to see you there! Enjoy, Peg & Chris " So now I have to find a better voice than the one I generally have but I have until 8 tonight to find it. Peg has a lot higher opinion of me than I do. This is my audition for a paid gig so I want to do well. We'll see.

Beam me up, Scotty.
Just carted in stuff for a retirement party today. LOC had a buyout and were hoping close to ten percent of the staff would take it otherwise we're likely in for furloughs, RIFs, etc. But in our division with many recent hires we only had one taker out of over 100 people. My wife and I were not tempted since the amount was pretty low and we are planning on going out in two or three years.

Morning. Reading about Kansas now. According to Truman Capote, they kill people out there.

Yawn. Up an atom. Got a morning meeting (called at the last minute). But it's a new project, so I ain't saying no. (Not a biggy. More like a little one. But a project just the same). Then I'll be hooking up with a Mr. Hammond. Depends on what his personal schedule will be. We could hit a guitar stare or just meet up @ my place. Then off to evening festivities. Back from Kansas where it doesn't suck...it blows. Right about that, Evan. Along with temps in the 35-40º range, we're looking at winds today 30-45 mph with gusts to 60 mph. That really does suck, and I have to be driving in it. Barb is taking me back to Cimarron to get the car from the shop. Jim.....the Anton murders happened about 20 miles north of Fowler. A descendant of the Antons is an upright bass player I've picked with numerous times. Oh yeah. Mornin'..... ;D

Good morning.
Gee I haven't thought of that book in years. I was so mad at Capote. He let me get to know those people, and then they died. Wow. Good book.

Good morning folks. Looks like a beautiful day.
Coming to you via my new monitor. My old one was flickering and I called Lars to have a look. He looked, it flickered and died on the spot. Got a 27" Asus VE278. Very very very nice monitor. Once I got Windows 7 sorted out and all and the new profile to stick. wow. I can see! Photoshop jumps off the page.
Good luck tonight Bruce!

GOOD morning. I think we hit the fall color change in north west Arkansas just right this year. We left last Thursday for a 400+ mile trip up in the rain but after that it was nothing but good riding weather 'till we returned. The leaf peeping was as good as it gets this year. I really enjoyed and am already looking forward to next year's ride.
