Good morning. Although it's just another Thursday here, with Mary working, I was counting my blessings and a year ago we were in the midst of medical problems which have resolved so 2011 beats 2010 by a mile, knock on wood. Happy thanksgiving.

From mnhermit, "Spider Robinson, Canada, sci-fi author (3 Hugo, Callahan's Secret)"
Callahan's Crosstime Saloon is a kick. I need to reread that one. I've got it somewhere...

Have a turkey-riffic holiday everyone! I'm cleaning and cooking today as our family will gather tomorrow instead of today. It was just easier for the kids to not have to juggle a trip to both families on one day so they will spend today with the spouses' families. The bonus for us is that we get to have them here ALL afternoon tomorrow! Later this afternoon I'll make the 3 hour round trip to pick up my mom to bring her here to spend the weekend with us. This is the "big shopping weekend" for my mom and me. At 81 she is still able to marathon shop! We "lose" a shopping day by having our dinner on Friday, but last year we just "cyber shopped" that day anyway and we can do that on Cyber Monday instead! Today might be "Packer kickoff" but for me this day is always "Holiday kickoff". Let the busyness begin! Phew! I count the friendships here among the things for which I am thankful!

Good Morning Good People
Cloudy, cool, and Novemberish outside. At the moment I am thankful for a mug of strong Sumatran coffee with whipped cream left over from pie-making operations.
Off to wash dishes from the aforementioned pie-making operations, thence to sister-in-laws lake house for a massive gathering of Dawn's side of the family.
Have a blessed Thanksgiving Day one and all.

Morn'n
Nothing to do until dinner time, don't have to cook, clean, baby sit or run out to find something that should have been on the shopping list. Think I'll make myself a english muffin with peanut butter and cheddar cheese and then go tinker in my shop. ;D

I made the mashed taters last night for the feast in Eau Claire, got them all done (using a recipe that Mizz Resolve found) and packed into the fridge and realized I forgot to add the two egg whites that the recipe called for. I doubt anyone will notice, though. I'll leave in an hour or so, taking along G2 and an amp, as it is Family Tradition that I play "We Gather Together" before we all scarf down. The gathering is in a large banquet/activities room in Mom and Dad's NH, and there should be about a dozen of us, all told.
Hope everyone has a harmonious day! Thanks for being part of the Soundhole tribe!

Merry Thanksgiving one and all. We're eating late, about 6 PM as Kelly and Kevin are going to spend the afternoon at Kevin's family get together. They'll join us at about 5.
Have a great day everyone and don't watch those calories!

HappyThanksgiving everyone. It will be me and my son batching it this year as my 20 year old daughter will be celebrating with her boyfriend and his family. Traditional feast though. I might run out and see if I can round out the menu with something.

Gonna be packed here. We've never had this many people over, so we'll see how it goes.
Cheers!

Nice to see Mizz Kari posting thankfully. And all of you too.
It's the lull before the storm. Sue's done most of her kitchen magic. Da bird goes in around 1:00. The many generations of family start showing up about 3:00. I gotta rest to be ready for grampa duty. I spend most of the day on the floor getting eye-to-eye with the munchkins.
Great joy.
