I've been putting black duct tape on a the case for my Epiphone Dot. For a fairly expensive case, it has not worn well. Not the only thing about the guitar that I don't like.
Mr. H and I exchanged cards this morning. He is off to his usual Tuesday Old Farts Coffee. I"m enjoying a little time alone. So, Bruce, no need to feel guilty unless Mary says you should.
We never go out on Valentines Day. Usually we stay home and have lobster and crab legs. But we've had our fill of those lately and decided to make an easy dinner of steak, baked potatoes and asparagus. A nice bottle of cabernet too.
Happy 100th birthday, Arizona! We're the youngest of the 48 contiguous states.

Well.....Hi! Don't know where yesterday went. Was very quiet after having the two choir kids and their chaperon for the weekend. But between them and my kids, this place was trashed and it took me all day to get it back to some resemblance of order, along with too many loads of laundry. Then Carrie leaves me two more this morning. But last night was great. Bill Norman came over and we picked out our setlist for the Sampler Festival which includes 3 of my originals, and 5 that will be on the CD (which I still hope to have done by then). Couldn't believe how much fun it was to work up duo arrangements of my tunes. Then when when we were done, I went out front of the house with Bill to find the real reason that he wanted to drive to Cimarron for practice. Saturday he acquired one of these..... A 2012 Nissan Frontier - 4WD 4-door pickup. Nice. And it really smells of "new vehicle".

yesterday was fun. in fact today is fun too. I heard a hissing sound near the gas line to our house. Called the gas company yesterday and yup, it was leaking. So they turned the gas off. We have a gas furnace and a gas waterheater. Oh joy.
The temp last night was 39. With two space heaters, an electric blanket and a wife who cranks out BTUs when she sleeps, it was actually a comfortable evening. But the house is chilly today and we probably won't have everything turned back on until tomorrow.
Happy valentines day....

Going through that are you. Chris used to light up the room so that I could read.

Back, apparently healthy. My surgeon is such a babe. She gave me a hug, asked about my photography, did a test or two, poked me about admired the 20 pounds I lost, said she was sorry that it would be fully six months before we meet again. I guess I'm good to go. Thanks for the well wishes. I hope you are all spoiled silly by your little sweeties today.

Good news, Kate. If getting spoiled means coming home to an empty mailbox, I was spoiled. Trying to maintain my self-discipline and not go to the market for beer. I have to shoot guns in the morning. (OK that's not entirely fair. My Ma sent a package which the USPS has yet to deliver, hungry as they are to maintain their loyal customer base in their current, trying times. Sheesh.)
