This event hits a little close to home -- Lancaster is about 35 minutes from here. Local press has been covering it full time. BUt I wish the national media would quit photgraphing the Amish -- they don't care for that at all. They are a private but peaceful group -- exploited by tourism in this area and they are quietly moving to quieter properties away from the tourism.

Regardless of what you think of their theology, the Amish have maintained one of the most peaceful societies in the world.
This is heartbreaking to think of the families of these young girls whose lives were taken in such a brutal and senseless way.
