Good morning. Taxes were done awhile back and the refund has been spent a couple of times over by now, especially that new mower yesterday. It's 6am and already 70 degrees out so coffee will be served on the back porch this morning. Beyond that, I'm going to avoid manual labor today and expensive things and get back to working out Capricio Arabe. At least that's the plan but OTOH the wife's not up yet so we'll see.

Morning. Taxes were done in January. But since this is tax day, I feel like I ought to get another refund.

Not totally well yet but up and moving. Got a morning appointment with Mary Flower after which I will do what work I can before going home and collapsing back into bed.

I'z here. Just a question for those paying taxes. Doesn't a refund mean that you figured your taxes wrong? I always worked on the system I wanted to owe them. Owe them as close to zero as possible. I can remember years where I had it down under ten dollars but I figured that anything under 200 was good. I was taught my my folks that a tax refund was a poor savings plan and through all my working life I think the biggest refund I ever got was about $600 or so.

Good Morning Good People
Cloudy and cool. As one might imagine, we are kinda tired and disorganized around here. Agenda for the day includes cuddling Lola, delivering stuff to Ana in the hospital, FINISHING TAXES, cuddling Lola, paying bills for my parents, cuddlling Lola, visiting parents in Kalamazoo, cuddling Lola, doing some work for my new company, and cuddling Lola. Lola comes home tomorrow morning.
Marty -- bounce back quickly!
Have a terrific Tuesday one and all.

Feel better, Marty! I'm off to spend the day with my daughter and new grand-darling. I gifted the family with a newborn photo shoot and the photographer is coming to do that early this morning. Then the parents have an appointment with a builder so it will just be Ella and me for a couple of hours. Ooooo ask me if I mind! LOL It's a beautiful sunny morning although a bit on the chilly side. Perfect morning for baby snuggles! My new duo partner and I are trying to get in 2 practices a week (I think he has seen that once a week is not enough when working with a greenhorn ;D) so we are trying to get in Monday and Tuesday evenings. Practice again tonight! I love it! Life is good.

No matter how early I get up, someone here always beats me to this post! You have to go to bed pretty late at night to beat the insomniacs of the Soundhole to the daily.

Morning. My jazz instructor got into improvising yesterday, something I have been wanting to get into with him. He makes extensive use of You Tube in his teaching and has given me some backing tracks he want me to get into this week. Before I started this class I was not really a big user of You Tube but I am now. I often go to You Tube to see how others have played a tune I'm working on. I don't know why but I simply never used this resource 'till I started taking this class.
Have a good day. I'm ready now to start my tour of 19th century Texas Forts. The tour starts Friday.

Mornin'.....
Back to Fowler to get a final figure from my accountant. We're running way later than usual getting this done. Grateful for electronic filing. Not grateful for electronic paying. Now that the grocery store stuff is all off the books, need a new write-off.
Marty.....get over it. ;D

Doug, I agree with your plan, but I have never been able to get even close. It seems like every year is so different, I never know how it's going turn out. One year I missed it to the owing side and had to set up a payment plan with the IRS. So every year that I get a return I feel great in knowing that at least I missed it without having a big payout due!
Good Morning All! Still playing mostly Dobro. The guitar playing is just not coming along like I had hoped.....but I am getting to where I enjoy playing the Dobro. Maybe buying a real Dobro had something to do with it!
